beer is usually reasonably well kept but the manager is a nightmare! a much better bet is the roscoe head round the corner or the little grapes on roscoe street.

cracking boozer good selection of real ales great staff and the best juke box in a liverpool pub. bouncers kept an eye on our bikes when we were on a flying visit, and had many a great night out been many times on foot

fantastic back street boozer with a good selection of real ales including one from the liverpool organic brewery, well worth a visit if your in liverpool

fantastic pub with absolutely fantastic beers! a true gem set in a festering pile of corporate blandness and pseudo suavity .Top marks to simon karl and the legendary stan

a beautiful unspoilt trad with an open fire and waitress service in the lounge this pub is in camras national inventory, beer the usual punch offerings though,not enough local ales for my liking! but competantly kept and seved with a warm welcome. highly recomended!

Widest selection of local produced real ales in merseyside , always well kept. live music thurs, fri ,sat, and sunday with a free comedy night on the first tuesday of every month . The food is top notch with an exellent tapas and main meal selection

@matt beer you were obviously very unlucky on your visit as there is always 4+ real ales on normally(6 from thursday to sunday) the four on of a weekday is to ensure quality through quieter periods of the week an artisan cider on draught is forthcoming. if there was two on they were either cleaning the lines or actually changing the beer over to a new brew im a regular in this pub and you can see up to 24 different real ales a week, not bad for a grotty little boozer(ive seen 10 differnt ones appear on a friday night alone.....
