The Cherry Tree Inn, High Hoyland

Good fish and chips and some interesting real ales including Elland and Nettle Thrasher. Staff were friendly.

The Hatton Arms, Hatton

Good food and the staff were friendly, helpful and plentiful. The beer was good too. I'm only sorry I live too far away to visit on a more regular basis.

The Bishop Lacey, Chudleigh

At least 4 real ales on when I was there, 2 of them local (and no sign of a lager tap either, though I didn't look hard). The ale I tried was in excellent condition. The staff were very friendly.

Beer OK? Only if you're a lager/Guiness drinker.

The Black Horse Inn, Taunton
