The King William IV, Hailey

The setting is hard to beat, views over rolling hills with rabbits playing in the field in front of you as you lower a few local ales - lovely and remote albeit a wee bit quiet the night we were in. Great portions of food.

The Pilot, Chiswick

Pretty good food and pleasant staff - often pop in on a Saturday lunchtime for a spot of grub, a pint and the papers. But this place must absolutely be avoided on a Friday evening when the horrors of Foxton's estate agents invade the place. I pity the poor staff.

The Shepherd and Flock, Shepherds Bush

Nice little Irish boozer. Always willing to put the Irish footie on, good guinness, lovely barmaids. Friendly punters who'll reminisce about watching Fulham in the 50s. Proper pub.
