The Regal, Cambridge

a gaping abyss. the greatest achievement of the wetherspoons nightmare. the draught beers are repulsive but in these soul-sucking surroundings you can enjoy bottled international beers. the food is the devil's work and the bouncers are godless neanderthals. all of this is extremely inexpensive.

The Pickerel Inn, Cambridge

very good selection of ales and friendly staff. hoary old gentlefolk tell of a mythical food provision. have a few pints and go to a pub that actually offers food.

The Mitre, Cambridge

shapeless pub with half-decent beers and half-decent food. half-decent

The Granta, Cambridge

great location, average range of beers, very good food. one of the better cambridge pubs.

The Eagle, Cambridge

overrated. poor staff and average beer BUT good location and building. a must for the cambridge crawl but with all the inevitability of prostate cancer.

The Cow, Cambridge

mouth-watering pizzas cooked for centuries. book in advance.

Clarendon Arms, Cambridge

dark, dingy, unfriendly pub. concrete corpse-trench/beer garden. get away from it all at this unique tavern. close to fire station.

The Mill, Cambridge

very good service. decent beers including a cracking pint of deuchars. gets very busy due to size. floods surrounding greenery with sunburnt drunks. but a very good pub.

The Locomotive, Cambridge

good late-license pub. rough round the edges but friendly atmosphere. touch rowdy on the weekend but has a show-stopping spaniel that will sit on a stool for cigarettes.

The Hat and Feathers, Cambridge

hollyoaks theme-pub. quiet. cigarette machine. some beer. go to the red lion. unless you like hollyoaks. and cigarettes.

The Castle Inn, Cambridge

great range of unusual adnams beers, great food. traditional opening times. more seating upstairs. one of the best town centre pubs.

24 May 2006 01:26

The Bath House, Cambridge

shedloads of vintage ladies. a place where youth goes to die. a below-average town centre boozer. go to an offy instead.

The Baron of Beef, Cambridge

good for sport. good location. very long. good location.

24 May 2006 01:21

The Jubilee, Cambridge

serves beer. chock-full of students on tuesdays, or as their posters would have it 'juby tuesdays'. or, alternatively you could throw yourself under a train.
