Toby Carvery Pub, West Worthing

ignore the last message by me. it was meant for another pub but got posted here by mistake.I flagged the post for removal, but it seems the people who run this site don't bother to read the 'report this for removal' messages?

anyways ,i've never been to this pub and i have no idea what its like.

The Sussex Yeoman, Goring By Sea

not been in here for a good few years but it used to run by morons. vegetables from their sunday carvery were all microwaved and some of the bar stuff were planks. aside from the people working there it has potential as an actual establishment as it has a large car park and the location is quite handy.

Greens, Brighton

great place to pop in during the afternoon /daytime when it was greens, good music nice pleasantly decorated. now called pasha bar. its a bit more commercial and cheesy and looks more like a pimps bedroom.

The Cloisters, Worthing

it was nice as the church, big spacious bar areas to drink and dance in ,pool table upstairs, big projection screens really nice atmosphere, when it wasn't busy though the size probably works against it as it can seem a bit too big and empty, think it has either shut down or changed names again?

The Rest, Worthing

rest bar is now shut down. think it is going to be a hairdressers?
used to be a great place to hear new and vibrant independent music, had great staff working there, really good food.they had interesting stuff happening on different nights in the function room upstairs including poetry reading,indie/rock music and an eclectic mixture of urban and dance music nights. used to be the cheapest place in worthing for a pint ,because of this it did sometimes attract quite a few drunks. but it was unique, no where else in worthing quite like it and it will be missed! the last great bastion of culture in worthing has gone. you'd have to go to brighton if you want that now.

Cafe Central, Worthing

changed its name to eden a few years back. was a good place to drink. used to get really busy in the evenings and at the weekend but didn't feel too uncomfortable due to bouncers on the door keeping the trouble makers out.unfortunately it was shut down and has not been a bar for quite some time now.

The Lamb Inn, Rustington

very noisy pub at weekends. has a bit of atmosphere in there sometimes and can get a bit rowdy.

The Windmill Inn, Rustington

great beer and selection of ale.nice large garden which is a pleasure to drink in. pub is a bit small and has always tended to be a bit cliquey.

The Southdown Hotel, Broadwater

popped in here recently and had an enjoyable pint. looked good inside. friends used to drink here way back in 96 while we were at northbrook college, the place was definitely a student sort of pub in those days.seems to have smartened up now and has more of a mixture of people with a few more families. had a pleasant time in there.

The Seaview, East Preston

went over here a few months ago, the owner seemed rude and to act very odd with people. didn't look busy, this place used to be great years ago ,seems a bit dead now.

The New Inn, Littlehampton

nice pub. good drinks and friendly staff. most of the regulars seemed nice too. very good place to drink if you like folk music and folk music types,if that's not your thing you might feel a little out of place in there?

The Fletcher Arms, East Preston

this place has always had a bit of a bad rep. it used to be a bit rough when it was the fletchers, they changed the look of the place after a re-fit and renaming in an attempt to change the clientle. after the change over it was a bit of a nicer place place to drink. still it wasn't perfect,it was still mainly populated by riff raff ,i've had a few pints served from dirty glasses.the new owners who took over after the refit seemed like nice enough people though.and the poker nights were a good idea.

although last time I visited a few months back it had changed hands again, place was open but almost totally empty.
the new pub owner who took over this year doesn't seem overly friendly and a bit militant and opinionated, might be why the place doesn't have any customers?

The Smugglers Roost, Rustington

the pub is now a restaurant and bar. nice decor in the bar area. has tv's regularly showing football. you can order food from either the bar or the restaurant. the bar area is quite small but does extend back further to include seating with sofas.crowd is mixed, generally around the 30-50 age bracket with the occassional youngsters popping in.
