The Murderers, Norwich

I visited this pub for the first time last Friday, for a colleagues leaving do. I'd never been there before but was pleasantly surprised. Instead of the cheap, generic city centre bar I had been expecting, I entered into a cosy, warm pub, full of life and atmostphere, with a GREAT range of drinks.

A few friends complained about the prices, but the quality of their Beers and Wines was by far superior to any Wetherspoons shite you can drown your sorrows with nowadays.

I didn't sample the menu, but i've been told that the food is hearty and flavoursome. The staff were very friendly and happy to help.

I give this pub a well deserved 9/10.

Yates's, Norwich

The thing with Wetherspoon's bars, is you either love them or you hate them. Personally I love some and hate other. Yates, however is on my 'Love' list.

It gets a lot of bad reviews, but I actually think Yates is a must-visit destination on a Friday night pub crawl.

The music isn't fantastic, but it's typical cheese you can dance to. They serve a good range of drinks at reasonable prices, including cheap shots for the resident chavs. They serve average, cheap pub grub. Nothing great but will dampen your hangover.

The toilets could be nicer, but all round the decor is nice. I give it a cheapy but chirpy 8/10.

The Slug and Lettuce, Norwich

I hate this bar. Think "cheap, pretencious," trying to pull of "classy, sophisticated." RIDICULOUSLY over priced and their house wine is so revolting that my friend demanded a refund. Bland, boring atmostphere, and rubbish, generic background music.

Compleat Angler, Norwich

Seems "ok." Only been here twice. Once - too busy, other time - very quiet. Known as the away fans pub. Now run by a gay couple.

The Belgian Monk, Norwich

Great pub. The decor is interesting though could be improved. They serve a wonderful collection of Beers including Strawberry and Raspberry. Their tasty dishes include: Wild Boar Sausages, Meatballs, Mussels, and ofcourse the typical Belgian dessert: Waffles! Best of all the food is served in an assortment of bizarre crockery. The atmostphere is friendly and welcoming.
