The Hogshead, Leicester Square

I went in there yesterday to see what it was like after the refurb. The pub is now called the "Crooked Surgeon". Its still the same layout with two floors. A member of staff told me it is still basically the same pub with the same staff but the prices have gone slightly up. The decor is a lot more stylish/classy. I prefered the old HH myself and wont be visiting here again.

The Crosse Keys, Bank

Huge large building with an interesting interior structure.

Was slightly on the pricey side for a Spoons, but it was in the City I suppose. It was pretty empty when I went in at around 5ish on a Saturday.

The North Pole, Greenwich

Horrid place, we went downstairs to the South Pole. Full of rudeboys kissing their teeth trying to act the big man. They let it get too packed. Drinks were also very expensive

The Princess of Wales, Charing Cross

Its reasonably priced, very small and not a bad TV for the football. Handy if you have a while to wait for your train at Charing Cross.

Boadicea, Charing Cross Station

Agree with poster below, good jukebox mind !

Walkabout, Putney

Typical Walkabout, A fair walk from Putney Bridge Tube Station. Quite pricey compared to your usual chain pub.

The Eight Bells, Putney Bridge

Very small pub, drank in here before Fulham V Charlton. Good pub and OB allow you to drink on the road if its full inside

Doctor Browns, Middlesbrough

Will question the home fans only bit, lot of visiting CAFC fans here, met some friendly locals, had a cheap pint and a good chat.

The Walkabout, Middlesbrough

Again another boozer I visited before the football. Poor service and bouncers very strict on ID.

28 May 2006 20:56

Barracuda Bar, Middlesbrough

Came here before Boro V Charlton in the FA Cup. Only 1.50 a pint, a very good boozer

28 May 2006 20:56

The Hamilton Hall, Liverpool Street

Reasonable food and cheap drinks, was full when we went on a Sunday as Spurs were at home. Standard Spoons stuff

27 May 2006 16:57

The Richmal Crompton, Bromley

Again another chain pub that you know exactly what you are likely to get. Relativley cheap drinks - 2 for a Vodka Redbull and cheap food. I went here on a Sunday night and it was ok, not really busy and it didnt take that long to get served.

As for it being the "Worst Pub in Bromley" it is miles better than the Greyhound or the Bell.

27 May 2006 16:49

The Bear and Staff, Leicester Square

A very small pub in comparison to most around this area. Bouncers were polite and let us stand outside with our beers as inside was very busy.

27 May 2006 16:12

The Bat and Ball, Leicester Square

NOW CLOSED

Metra Club and Bar, Leicester Square

Was a good club, we went there whilst doing an all nighter. There were 11 lads, we were charged a very reasonable 5 entrance each and they reserved us a large gallery style curved sofa right on the dance floor. We also got given 2 for 1 drinks promotions leaflets. Was a good night, although the selection of music all night was very similar - seemed to be one Sean Paul CD on all night !

The Hogshead, Leicester Square

I really enjoyed Hogs but I walked past the other day and it has been refurbished - its now called a different name and I have not had a chance to visit.

27 May 2006 16:06

The Montagu Pyke, Charing Cross Road

Im a fan of Lloyds, biggest screen in London for the football. Its typical Lloyds stuff, you get what you expect - cheap drinks, young crowd, average cheap food

27 May 2006 16:05

All Bar One, Charing Cross

Pile of overpriced sh1t, much better option is to go to the Princess of wales opposite

27 May 2006 16:03

O'Neills, Soho

Went there in the day to watch football on the TVs. Pretty nice decor/layout with two floors that gives the place a bit of character.

Went there for St Georges Day 2005 when Charlton were playing there. This is the away fans pub. proper good laugh on a warm day by the Canal by the Bridge. Really good day out with decent priced beer and a really good atmosphere

8/10 due to location and outside decking

4 Jan 2006 21:08

Pretty decent. Went in there before a game against Everton. Had a very nice breakfast as well as the drinks being very cheap

4 Jan 2006 18:08

Wetherspoons, Victoria Station

Football Fans on the weekend. On weeknights its for people stopping off after work. Good location and an ideal place for a drink if your train is delayed. The tables on the balcony are great

4 Jan 2006 15:51

Waxy O'Connors, Piccadilly

Large plastic paddy 'wannabe' Irish pub. Around 4 for a beer and 6.50 for a vodka redbull. It is huge so plenty of seats and different levels. Better than average due to the 3 areas but drink prices puts me right off

4 Jan 2006 15:38

Yates's, Leicester Square

Went there on a Friday didnt get allowed in as we had to girls with us, There were only two of us ! Thought this was a bit OTT. Get there early to get in !
