Old Stillage, Redfield

The Oyster stout is excellent but the bar staff are less than good. Friendly locals though and bands on occasionally. It can improve no doubt.

St Georges Hall, Redfield

OK its a Wetherspoons but its definitely the best pub in the area. Quiet sections, TV sections, good garden and above all NICE staff. The manageress makes sure of that and they have a GREAT selection of ales. Go...

The Black Horse, Redfield

A local boozer, nothing special but they have OK ales and a pool table in a quiet area.

The George and Dragon, Redfield

Definitely the local piss-heads pub after the Redfield but friendly drunks! Good Guinness and OK Courage when I was in. Big screen sport rules here but they let you bring food in which is pleasant. One for escaping the missus.

The Fire Engine, Redfield

Friendly locals, nice Bombardier and well poured, tasty Guinness. No feelings of being the "outsider" there and regulars appeared to be happy discussing the sport, playing bar games or chatting to anyone else. Very Bristolian pub with lots of local Redfield pictures and photos. Rumour has it that the local BNP meets there but no sign when I was drinking there. The seating could be improved but all in all a pleasant boozer.

The Besom Inn, Coldstream

A wonderful pub. Old fashioned Borders hospitality, good non-flash food, excellent Caly 80, Deuchars and guest ales. Coldstream Guards theme throughout but not over the top; saloon and public bars with an excellent function room. Top Class.

The Redfield, Bristol

Has to be seen to be believed! The two drunks asleep in the corner were too busy snoring to see another inebriant steal their Natch while the drunk barmaid yelled at her customers. Avoid the draught ales and sit back to enjoy the shenanigans. Magnificent!
