The Wellington, Bury

Not been in for a while but it used to be packed on sunday nights especially on sunny evenings this place used to get so packed the only way you could get a drink was to cross the road go in victoria wines get a few bottles then go to the beer garden but it was good always saw a dozen people you knew in there this helped the atmosphere

Pics Bar, Bury

good place for a friendly drink relaxed atmosphere no macho people looking for trouble, music is that uplifting happy sort that makes you want to boogie well worth a few hours in there on the weekend

Verve, Bury

ok place for people who out grew sol and viva only problem now is that many new late night bars have opened across town and there is no real need to walk that distance just to keep drinking prob wont last another few years shame really not a bad little club

S77, Bury

S77 or s club 7 as it was more commonly known was the worst thing that happened to the royal, during its 2/3 months closure to be converted to S club 7 every one started drinking elsewere and by the time it re opened with a total face lift no one went back in, as a result the usual faces and mates we used to chat with were long gone now they are just another face in the crowd. it quickly filled with chavs and tossers (you looking at my bird) and with in about a year it was like ghost town on saturday night only 2 or 3 people in there all night.
This was as ive said the worst thing that ever happened to The Royal.... Bring back The royal

The Two Tubs Inn, Bury

Nice pub used to be portraid as a bikers pub and for many years i avoided it for that reason, but its not like that. On the weekend you get 2 choices the "disco" side or the seating quiet side so you can have the best of both worlds
Also doesnt have any of them annoying under age kids in which helps keep the atmosphere friendly, been going in off and on for few years now and can honestly say this is one of the only pubs in bury ive never seen any trouble in well worth a pint in there if your from out of town.
