The Fox and Flowerpot, Goldsworth Park

voiceofknaphill, You say you haven't been in for years yet posted a comment on 2nd Oct last year - Recounting old memories were you?

Everybody is happy if you don't come back and If you're so concerned about it being a drug den perhaps you should share that with the Police, they don't seem to have the same viewpoint! I personally think the new managers seem to be doing pretty well.

Try engaging brain before mouse-click

Another post by the stalker (or Firestarter) - And yes, you're still barred from here and the Robin!

Well Done Karen, you got the ruling we were all praying for. Hope you pick up an award from the Palace for your efforts; wishing you every success in the future :-)

Razed to the Ground, another Enterprise Inns outlet closed; thanks Mr Graham Edward Tuppen for all the support you gave this pub - NOT!!! I hope the PubCo Select Committee rip your heart out

Well Done Karen and your legal team, you stood by your principles and I hope and pray the result later this year is positive for you. I feel this will be a great year for Pubs especially with the demise of some of the Pubco's too - Next time I visit the clan in Pompey will pop in for a pint or two.

The Greyhound, Ash

A quaint thriving little pub with friendly staff and customers, pretty much all the staff are new since the comments below.
Youngs (Ordinary bitter) is always well kept and they have 2 regularly rotated guest beers, some over 1 cheaper than other pubs nearby.
Just been sold to Stonegate Pub Company but they won't change it too much, why change a winning formula?

The Victoria, Woodham

Now closed - herris fencing and concrete bollards make it look like Camp Bastion. Should re-open as English heritage has Grade 1 listed the original coach house part I hear

The Catherine of Aragon, West Byfleet

No longer a Mr Qs pub but independantly run. Only 4 pool tables, 2 quiz machines, all the live sport you'll need and a great garden to boot! Real Ale now served along with the normal offerings, incl food and B+B at the end of August.

Seems like a bit of a personal swipe at the (New) Chef - maybe by the old one!

I went in the other day and this place is getting back to the old ways when Bex and then Pete ran it with a rod of iron, give the new boss a chance to exorcise the previous regime (it needed it).

Same old Ember stuff at the end of the day though.

The Old Ford, North Camp

Had a great Friday night up there, music and Ales were great, atmosphere was excellent - even had it's own Husky (though didn't meet the eskimo though)!

The Squirrel, North Camp

Went there last Thursday night, this is an example of how an Ember Inn can be run. The beer was in good condition and people were actually enjoying themselves! The bar-staff were polite, food looked OK and the quiz was well hosted - I'll return for sure.

I've known Terry for quite a while now and he is right in everything he says, give him time - I'm sure he'll do the pub proud. I've had enough anonymous postings fired at my business since I've started to realise they are nothing but petty jealosy and spite - he (like me) will rise above it all.

Just one point, he is honest enough to accept any critisism personally - so if you're visiting chat to him or Jane, they're really quite nice people.

Thanks for the slightly better review edwardbeer - though still wondering why you feel the need to try to hide your identity (see the last 2 posts - you never ticked the box on one)!

Just wondering when the last time you came in here? - saturday nights are normally buzzing, and I'm sure my bloke enjoys the live music more than I do - probably because he doesn't have to do the banking or bottling up at the end of the night like I do!

By the way, I didn't say this was the best pub in the area - beermachine did and he drinks in all pubs in the local area so should know what he's saying.

The Queens Head, Aldershot

This pub used to be my local - don't get in there as much as I would like now (as I run my own pub). I can recommend the Queens Head to all ages, large enclosed garden and a well kept cellar. Not too sure about the Landlords Golf stories or choice in T-shirts though!
