The Junction Tavern, Kentish Town

Great beer, nice open fire, clean and well run. With The PIneapple the best place to have a drink in the area.

The Assembly House, Kentish Town

I know this place is steeped in history but I really don't rate it. Too big and airy, beer pricey.

The Pineapple, Kentish Town

A classic English backstreet boozer, the decor unchanged since the early 50's. A joy to behold

The Lyceum, Strand

This is the kind of pub i like to hurt myself in; cheap prices, absolute no atmosphere. I tend to find Sam Smiths bitter to be a bit soapy so head on to the ciders after a few. But don't think you getting a bargain with this booze, you're liable to wake up with terrible stomach cramps in the night.

The Swimmer at The Grafton Arms, Holloway

This is the pub middle class people go to who don't want to mix with the scum that live in the area. It's warm and salubrious, with a decent selection of beer but it is overpriced. I also thought that the bar staff were a bit lacking in charisma.

The Mother Red Cap, Archway

As you'd expect this place is full of Irishman with terrible drink problems. My pint was ruined by one of them lecturing me about what a good footballer Thierry Henry is, I mean, nobody else thinks that, do they?

The Wheatsheaf, Tooting Bec

A comedy choice. A real nasty dive full of horrible locals who stand in your way when you're trying to get to the toilets. They were still setting up the Karaoke when I left.

The Enkel Arms, Holloway

This is a top notch boozer; chirpy barmaids that greet you with a "Ello my darling," lots of TV's showing sports and rock bottom prices. What more could you ask for?
