The Old Goat, Fulwell

Excellent meal in there on Sunday for my birthday. We had 12 people inc 2 kids aged 2-3. The staff gave them co.louring pens and little gifts from a goodie bag which was an amazing thing to do, really nice. The food was excellent, the beer was brilliant, I cant thank Andy and his staff enough for making my birthday one to remember.

The Rising Sun, Sudbury Hill

Good pub. Excelent Indian Food.

The Crown, St Margarets

I agree with the post on the 28th march. I have been in there with friends/family/kids and had a lovely day.Watching football is good in there as there are no loudmouth idiots, and again 'the tatooed barman', who I think is the governor, let us rearrange the sofas and tables to our liking. Yes the roast is a wee bit pricey, but no-one makes you have it.Also I'm not sure why but the crown and the st margarets have stunners behind the bar. no complaints there!

There is a door between the two out the back

The Prince Albert, Twickenham

No doubt it will pick up again in the summer, must admit to having a few nice weekends in their garden, regardless of the management.

The Stone House, Hampton Hill

Went in here on Sunday for a quick pint and was told it was closing for refurb next Monday (again).Apparently it will be called The Longford and will be more Restauranty than a pub. Oh and avoid if you want to watch The World Cup as he aint showing it....Madness

The Packhorse and Talbot, Chiswick

Anonymous started it!
p.s I'm extremely well educated and would never look at another mans missus as i'm very happy with my wife thank you very much.

The Packhorse and Talbot, Chiswick

I have watched The Arse there a few times and disagree as a gooner myself. I found it to be mostly Rangers on a Saturday but predominantly Nouveau Chelsea on Sundays, you know the ones who havent quite found The Bridge yet.

The Strutton Arms, Westminster

Good little boozer for those glory glory European nights.Nice bar staff and there is always a good crowd watching the football. I always go in here to watch the Arsenal after work and will be there again tonight cheering em on!

The Bell Inn, Hampton

Glad to say that the last time I went for a drink here it had closed down!!Its a shame though because throught the years (certainly in the 90s) it was a good boozer. Now we only ever used it for a pint before going to the half price next door.

The Askew Arms, Shepherds Bush

Good pub in the summer even if the patio is on the Uxbridge Road.Used to play music in the evenings but have'nt been in there at night since last summer so dont take my word for it!

The Packhorse and Talbot, Chiswick

I think this is a good pub for super sundays! Football, and the roast is excellent. There is also a cheeky blonde beer that I knew the name of when I started drinking it, but by the end of the evening i'd forgot my own anyway, but try it.

Lido Frungillo, Formia

Well, the best thing about this bar is that it is slap bang in the middle of the beach, looking out into the Tyrennian sea just south of Rome. The next best thing is that it is owned by a young couple,Richard (English) and his beautiful wife Francesca (Italian).Sitting up on the verenda drinking ice cold Italian or many other European beers all very reasonably priced,Is about as perfect as it gets. They do a nice selection of Italian sandwiches and pizzettes, or if it's something a little more filling you want ,then they will be only to happy to show you the menu for the restaurant from across the road, order and pick it up for you,all at no extra cost!!As the sun goes down you may be lucky enough to be invited to one of their legendary beach b-b-q's all for a token price, but beware, these can ,and often do, get very messy!!! Thoroughly recommended. You will not be made to feel more welcome in any place on earth,I promise!!

The Cabbage Patch, Twickenham

The best thing about The Patch is its like a tin of Ronseal, it does exactly what it says on the tin.If you are a Twickenham lad or lass you know that its always there to fall back on.

The Prince Albert, Twickenham

Its gone downhill since Bernard left. I was in on Saturday for the football and I couldn't wait to leave. Mind numbing with an atmosphere more like the moon

Stout NYC, Manhattan

Great pub to go to watch football, bar staff are really nice and friendly and as long as you are sitting up at the bar and chatting they tend to look after you,(if you look after them!).There is a mezzanine floor that has a bar, the food is nice but not great for its price, but if you are in The Big Apple, drop in while the missus goes to Macy's on the next block, watch a premiership match and have one of the 30-odd lagers on tap!

The Old Goat, Fulwell

Make the effort to go to this pub, everyone I have told about it has gone and had a good day/night. The landlord was an old classmate of mine through secondary school and he has put a lot of effort into it.This is the best pub in Twickenham

23 Feb 2006 13:58

The Albany, Twickenham

How I wish this pub wasnt so pretentious. This used to be the best pub in Twickenham years ago before all the wannabe's moved here because they could'nt afford Richmond or Chiswick.Twickenham does not need any gastropubs it needs good pubs- to have a drink and a laugh with family & friends without chavs or their antithesis..snobs

21 Feb 2006 13:40

The Misty Moon, Twickenham

anyone who knows Twickenham knows that to go in here means you have given up on life and this is the best its gonna get for you .I would be too embarresed to even look in here, let alone drink in it

16 Feb 2006 12:21

The Stone House, Hampton Hill

This is its fourth different re generation I can remember over the last 7-8 years, still no difference.Unfortunately if you have lived in that area in the past, YOU WILL bump into someone who's name you have long forgotten and care even less about who will greet you with the immortal line "ello mate wachyoo doin nah? wurking?" trust me it happens everytime
