Raintree, Thames Ditton

Having just moved into the area and being fussy about where i drink i have to say some of the previous reviews are nonsense. the bar is very comfortable and the staff are great. the food is absolutely superb and every day the restaurant is busy with families and couples alike. chavs? id have to say most pubs have chavs but id say the clientel in here is a nice blend. if you dont like it in here then your probably not going to fit in anywhere so stay at home and leave the rest of us to enjoy this great pub!

Marneys Village Inn, Weston Green

went there recently for a drink and found it quite pleasant in a lovely location. took a card and decided to re visit for lunch. despite phoning all morning to book with no answer decided to take a chance and turn up. asked if there was a table for five and a child. was very rudely told that children arent allowed in one section and the others were reserved, i dont mind but the attitude was very off and i wont be calling again.

The Lots Road Pub and Dining Room, Chelsea

went there for sunday lunch with the family, was really impressed with the open plan kitchen - and the staff couldnt have been more friendly and helpful.
food was excellent, especially the sticky toffee pudding! they made us feel really welcome, unlike some pubs when you take a 2year old with you. will definately be back.

The Britannia, Surbiton

has been bulldozed to the floor for flats, all the locals now drink in the castle down the road, look out for the 'prl boys' at the bar, they are known in the area as being regular visitors to brighton, and may try to chat you up if you resemble a member of the village people....

CAZBAR, Worcester Park

great little bar especially on saturdays when the live premiership is on, can get a ridiculously packed though - probably bordering on the illegal....!

The Foley Arms, Claygate

nice friendly little pub with lovely garden, could lower there prices though as a pint of stella is 3.10!

The Albany, Thames Ditton

went there with wife and young boy. didnt start well as no pushchair access had to carry pram up stairs (and down again other side)went to bar to order food, was told there was table service. sat and waited for 20 mins, no service, complained, eventually got served after 30 mins! food came quickly, very bland, table was dirty and had to clear it of glasses ourselves! overall nice view of river and thats it. avoid.
