The Royal Arms, Heath End

What's going on in this pub. It's the Summer time, and a huge pile of logs are in the car park. Drive past next day and they are gone. Is this a sideline to the pub. It always looks shabby. I wouldn't set foot in this place again ever, ever, unfriendly, and unhelpful. A lorry park at the weekend and come to think of it a park for anyone who wants to leave their vans there. Looks really scruffy.

The White House, Guildford

Went there this evening. Beer poor, very watery even the Pride had no taste. The discovery and seafarers lacked taste. Had to wait to be served even though it was fairly quiet and according to my partner, there was no toilet paper in the loos. Come on Fullers! Not a pub I would rush back to. People were coming in off the streets with their cans of lager and sitting outside. the barstaff did not challenge and let them in. Bad language and other unsavoury behaviour, very offputting when I was trying to entertain some friends.

The Ball and Wicket, Heath End

The beer is awful in this pub, everybody knows it, Gary knows it he even banned Mike Desquesnes for saying so. If Gary is that ignorant that he thinks he make good beer, he deserves to close down. No wonder all of his real ale fans have gone to a pub down the road. Wake up and smell the coffee. Your beer is awful, yes really awful.

The Good Intent, Puttenham

Went for a lunchtime bevvy. Beer good. Not sure I agree with the sign outside saying The best pub in England. I can think of better pubs, however, my visit was ok.

The Merry Harriers, Hambledon

Visited this pub tonight. Colin and his wife Julie are really making an effort to keep a country pub going. Support them, or lose them. Don't knock two hardworking people who are giving it a go, just because they don't crawl to CAMRA people. Leave them alone. Tried all beers and they were all in good condition. Would highly recommend them.
