Earlydrinker, you are correct. The White Hart has been changed, again, and is now a proper country pub, with some very nice ales changing on a regular basis, one of the nicer is the Brunning & Price Original Bitter, brewed by the little pub company that owns the freehouse. I have to say it is a must try, and at 2.80, it ticks all the boxes. It does do some very nice food and i would recommend anyone eating there. I can imagine that a lot of the food is sourced locally as the menu seems to change on a regualr basis, if not daily, and the head chef deserves a big pat on the back. Head out through the back and you'll find it home to a vast area for eating during the summer, and there is enough shelter to keep to warm and dry day during the winter. All the staff are extremely warm and friendly and I was very impressed with the manager Chris who is obvioulsy rubbing off his good charm and polite, well natured manner on his staff.

Due to popular belief, the White Hart is not owned by Brunning & Price, though it would be far from a shame if they did. The White Hart has had a spectacular make-over and the whole feel of the pub is warm and inviting. With a variety of real ales to choose from and a daily printed menu, this is the perfect retreat for use as either a social boozer with close friends, but also to have a decent bit of grub; well that's what I think anyway, but don't take my word for it, try it yourself, i will definatly be returning a regular basis.

The Nevill Crest and Gun, Eridge Green
Mightyhawk, you are right in one sense, but wrong in another. The Neville Crest and Gun has been bought by Brunning & Price, a brilliant little pub company that has done wonders with thier newest find, the White Hart in Sevenoaks, definatly a trip to make from my opinion. However, the Chaser is not run by Brunning & Price, it is run by an indepedent named Brian, who use to be the manager at the Hare, which i think is the pub you are being confused with in Langton Green, I should know as I'm probably in there more than some of the staff! I think that the Nevill Crest & Gun will be an outstanding pub once it opens in the summer time, well you beat beat a beautful pub with beautiful beers in a beautiful surrounding can you, can you?
