Red Lion, Bracknell

Now an American diner Blues smokehouse doing the steaks ribs etc you would expect. Not been in as the American theme would suggest no real English ale and im no lover of oevrly hopped American microbrewery ales or their dreadful attempts at lager - but have heard positive comments about the quality and quantity of the food

The Admiral Cunningham, Bracknell

Theres a good reasons its well known locally as the Admiral Cuntingham

12 Mar 2015 15:05

The Cross Hands, Bedminster Down

Shit beer and stuffed full of the worst sort of bristol chavs

12 Mar 2015 15:03

Brewdog Bristol, Bristol

On a saturday visit in december the bar stunk like somone had killed a dog kept the body in a bucket that was also being used as a toilet for a few months and put it under one of the tables - hope its not the beer at those prices

12 Mar 2015 14:58

Molly's Millars, Wokingham

Much improved in last 6months or so with several local ales now regularly available and 1 pint free after 6 stamps ale card scheme also in place

could do with a lower priced ale >£3 available idealy to break into the spoons territory but having the sport on multiple tvs a clear advantage over the spoons of berkshire

Greyhound, Maidenhead

Arsenalfan have you escaped form a psychiatric unit why dont you go and write your pointless drivel on some bell end site like twitter where it fits better

Old Manor, Bracknell

One of the best spoons Ive ever been in beer always good and plenty of local ales usually good helpful staff and a pretty low chav pikey and piss stained wino count pretty much the only pub worth drinkign in in central bracknell

6 Jul 2011 15:56

The Victoria Arms, Wokingham

Good little pub - decor a bit sterile and cold when you enter - but 2 ales on TTL (yawn) but Hammerpot Red Hunter was excellent - best beer of the night - looks like would be good to watch the game as long as not too many scrotes are in - worth a pint or 2 on a Wokingham crawl

10 Nov 2010 15:25

Ye Olde Dog and Badger, Medmenham

Right on main road - more of a restaurant than a pub really had an average pint of IPA (I think) - wouldnt seek it out unless eating

16 Jul 2010 16:14

The Stag and Huntsman, Hambleden

Excellent country pub - had a couple of pints of IPA which were both in good order on a weekday early evening in the small public bar with a few local workers who were obviusly after work regulars - nice atmosphere - food looked alright and there were acoupple of proper ciders on but didnt partake of either

16 Jul 2010 16:12

The Old Bell, Henley-on-Thames

Agree - tried to modernise an old buiding and ends up neither fish nor fowl - small - horrible layout, no atmosphere not really a pub at all - poor selection of beers - had a distincly average pint of brakspears - I was out of the door like muck off a shovel and won't be going back

16 Jul 2010 15:40

The Anchor, Henley-On-Thames

ABout 3 years ago a pal and me had a pint of brakespears so bad at the start of a session we were literally gagging walking down the road while our friend who ordered lager as he didnt trust a pub that was like an old persons front room laughed smuggly
I was out in Henley recently for a few beers and thought I would risk it again - I sat in an empty pub with one of the worst pints of Brakespears I have since the first one having paid 3.30. Lesson learned...I am a stupid Berkshire Hunt

6 Mar 2010 14:36

The Bird In Hand, Henley-On-Thames

Best pub in Henley - free house usually 4 + beers in good order - rugby on front tv and football on back tv - friendly landlord and staff and free chips on occasion - if only it had a bit more competion in Hemley - you'd think there would be room for a couple more non Brakespear boozers with ac ouple of real ales in Henley

6 Mar 2010 14:28

The Argyll, Henley-On-Thames

Asked for a pint of IPA, the barman poured it and asked for 3.60, I said that's a bit expensive, he said the Wetherspoon is down the road, I left, the pint went in the slop tray....

6 Mar 2010 14:23

Hogshead, Marlow

Just a slug and lettuce with the usual horrible design and decor that entails - used to be much better as the Hogshead

10 Dec 2009 13:29

The Frog, Skirmett

Outstanding pub; Good food and a great selection of it, 3 ales on all kept very well and a nice atmosphere - A proper country pub with lots of wood ; rustic but in no ways scruffy - efficient and friendly staff

10 Nov 2009 16:08

The Pitcher and Piano, Reading

Wine bar bistro place - Chav's hanging around thinking they are posh - load of lager taps that all look the same - sterile anodine and 'orrible

10 Nov 2009 15:47

Kings Arms, Cookham

Decor too modern but can't help but like it couple of ales including Rebellian IPA and Landlord - good selection of lagers lots of places to sit in a variety of rooms - fire in winter and a good selection of decent food at pretty reasonable prices for Cookham - Definatley the pick of the Cookham Village pub/restaurants with Swan Uppers and The Ferry both on the slide

4 Jun 2009 14:30

The King and Castle, Windsor

I was actually refused entry once to this pub for not having shoes on....ITS A WEATHERSPOONS!!! Walked round the corner to the much posher Browns and was admitted with a smile and "good evening sir" - different class

The staff really are dreadful in the King, you'll be lucky to get served the right drink

23 Sep 2008 15:28

The Catherine Wheel, Henley-On-Thames

Typical Wetherspoons - cheap but average food, ale cheap but on the cusp of going off (stick to local beers if any on)

You get what you pay for...

The Cornubia, Bristol

Good ale, good atmosphere, no loud music that I have ever heard - one of the few real ale pubs left around the centre

3 Mar 2008 16:05

The Vine, Maidenhead

Bit small and grubby, plenty of Oirish locals - but has Brakespears on and the owner will always stick the sport on for you if you ask.

3 Mar 2008 15:45

The Bell, Maidenhead

Loads of pool tables and TVs - Good for the football, but downside is no real ale

3 Mar 2008 15:41

3 Mar 2008 15:34

The Ship, Marlow

3 Mar 2008 15:29

The Three Guineas, Reading

Good choice of ale, several screens for the sport, You can't ask much more from a Station pub. Occasional wierdos but usually harmless enough

7 Dec 2007 13:33

7 Dec 2007 12:29

The Hope Tap, Reading

The greatest collection of winos in the western world - Brilliant! Think of it more as a zoo than a pub

7 Dec 2007 12:23

The Alehouse, Reading

Great beer - no chavs - Quite simply the best Hobgoblin in England

7 Dec 2007 12:09

Uncle Toms Cabin, Cookham Dean

Used to be a lovely quiet pub serving a great pint of Benskins a few years ago - unfortuantely for the last year or it seems to have been taken by a bunch of loud mouthed chavs - a real shame but avoid like the plague

16 Oct 2007 14:10

The Jolly Farmer, Cookham Dean

Selection of 3 or 4 good ales (up to 10 when a beer festival on) excellent food (not cheap but it is cookham!) no music - proper pub - outstanding!

16 Oct 2007 14:06

Bar Soviet, Maidenhead

Orrible

16 Oct 2007 13:57

Bar 38, Maidenhead

This is a generic Winebar bisto place with no decent beer or character - definately not an 8/10 - ok to sit outside of if you like chav watching from aluminium chairs
