Nipped in to avoid weather found Jurassic to be in good condition as was the animal brewery mioung, I then had a chicken wrap which was excellent. Found the staff were very good. Only downside was the big group of women have an over coffee cackle very annoying........!

Actually very impressed I was early for a social meet so I ducked in to the halfway for a quicky, had three ales on being tom brown, hobgoblin and nelsons had a pint of toms & hobgoblin then was offered a taster of Nelsons all in good condition.
Only 2.50 a pint which blew me away all in all top notch.

havent been to the square for a long time and i was very disappointed to see that the manager christine and helen had left they were lovely girls and great behind the bar many a good night we had .does anyperson out there know where the girls have gone if so can you please post it on this site thank you

just read review about finchley tavern and i must say i feel the same its terribe now there has been about 5 different managers since that women left which i think is terrible it used be busy all the time ,but i suppose life goes on

under new ownership at christmas lovely landlady an irish women from what i could see the place was packed great band just like the old days when it was the wishing well. went back again at the end of march only to discover the landlady and her staff were gone i was very disappointd to see that so i wont be going back there again which im sorry to say so any of you people out there who used like the wishing well or finchley tavern as it is known by now i wouldnt bother if i was you we go to gerti browns now its a far better place
