The Newton Arms, Holborn

No great beer list but a relaxed crowd and away from the busy Kingsway. Gem

Holborn Whippet, Camden

Super cask beer list for such a central location. Outside drinking and strong food menu. Popular spot for pre west end crowd on a Sat night. Not too trendy.

The Croft, Stokes Croft

Now called the Crofters Rights. Owned by the same team behind the Euston Tap and Holborn Whippet. Super range of cask and keg beers. Rear dispense as one would expect from these guys. Stripped back bar. £2.80 for a Farmers Blonde on cask was a steal.

The Pelt trader, Cannon Street

Sister pub to the Holborn Whippet and Euston Tap. Think Euston Tap with a lot more space. 20 odd casks and kegs plus pizza kitchen. Busy and great fun afternoon.

The Wellington, Birmingham

Great pub and well kept beer

The First Hussar, York

Horrible place. The future will be flats no doubt.

The Woodman, Wild Hill

The Woodman is thriving, 4 casks on and several fizz. Monday afternoon was busy. Fair prices and lots of locals plus day trippers. Simples. but works.

The Cock Tavern, Hackney

Hipster friendly indeed and yes contrived, so much is fact you expect Chris Pople to be in a one man queue out the front . Still miles better than the crap that was here or in the area.

Maybe cut the casks well back though. There is no way they are getting through them with any speed. 2 or 4 would be ample and the quality would sky rocket. Will be back.

The Jolly Sailor, Orford

Very expensive cask beer.

Fish though was fresh and had a light batter.

Atmosphere is ok but could be a fantastic pub.

Tip: staff should wear uniforms.

Euston Tap, Euston

Malo66 now really. You were doing so well. Dorch Arch is a world away for Euston Tap. That the Tap is not on the station is part of the reason it is so busy. There are places for grumpy scotch egg eating slobs, but this is not one of them.

Eclectic crowd from the diverse local businesses and unis, very reasonable prices and an outside area without ropes and time restrictions.
It is not a pub by any means, but a throwback vertical drinking bar, with a humming vibe and a balanced beer list.
One either gets it or you don't. It's limitation are really not to complain about on BITE. Don't drink there if you are going to moan about facilities they can't offer - like a fire place!

The Seven Stars, Bristol

Great range of beers for Bristol. Not far from Temple Meads. Could do with a deep clean but otherwise a nice spot for a pint.

The Craft Beer Co, City of London

On the subject of pricing, the pub is still Greene King owned. No doubt breaking the tie cost a bucket.

The Cider Bar, Newton Abbot

The one and only. Love it.

The Cutty Sark Tavern, Greenwich

Super location but the pub is really tired and needs energy. We visited on a Saturday and it was pretty dead. Barmaid keen but the two other staff watching their laptop at the end of the bar is never a good sign.

The Seven Stars, Bristol

Great find awindy day in Bristol. Beer selction pretty good, though not many of the 'trendy' breweries. Atmosphere excellent

The Bank, Bristol
