Just changed hands & although the beer is good and reasonably priced, the food menu has just suffered from a MASSIVE price hike.
Go to a Weatherspoons to eat instead.

Good music but the beer is a bit pricey & it can get a bit nasty on a Saturday night.

A lovely pub with helpful bar staff well kept beer & excellent food. Sunday Roasts are especially good.
I would recommend the landlord's own beef in port!
It just falls apart in your mouth. Good value too!

Great pub, great food!
The grill night is fantastic value & the steaks are cooked to your requirements. But i have to agree that waiting times at the bar are outrageous. I have left without being served before & gone to the Crown & Horseshoes down the road instead.
