The Dolphin, Canterbury

We stumbled across this pub on a Friday night. It was busy but the staff were very accomodating. Great food, great athmosphere and friendly staff. Next time we will attempt to book, as if it hadnt been warm enough to sit in the garden we would have been stuck, but overall a real gem!

The Chequers, Laddingford

Oh my goodness!!! What a find!! This is a great pub, with fantastic food and lovely staff. The menu has something for every one and is very reasonable in price. We were made to feel very welcome, even though they squeezed us in. The garden is great for the kids, and the mixture of locals and people like us, just there for the food was wonderful. We will definatley visit again, and so close to tea pot island, this will be a great day out in the summer!

Ye Old Yew Tree Inn, Westbere

This is a lovely little pub in a beautiful village. It has been deserted each time we have been, which seems a little odd. The food was worth the wait...(we did wait some time considering we were the only ones there when ordering). It seems a shame that not more people use it.

The Ringlestone Inn, Ringlestone

This pub is delightful! Steeped in history and well worth a visit! The food is great and good value. It has a lovely asthmosphere.

The Tickled Trout, West Farleigh

Lovely building, nice beer garden, not sure about the food. The menu is extensive, whic I always find a concern, no child portions on offer, the chilli and rice I had was very poor, lumps of mince so large I thought they were meatballs! My friend had scampi and chips which did look like a childs portion. I found it difficult to find something that my children would eat, and the drinks were very expensive.

The Black Horse, Stansted

Myself and my b/f stumbled upon this pub on the way back from a day out. Funny looking pub inside, but go out into the garden, its fantastic! So if you want a quiet drink away from it all, and the sun is shining, this place is great!

The Lion Hotel, Farningham

Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far, so where better to go than a country pub with a stream where the kids can play and I could have a drink? Definately not here! The service is awful. There were only three people serving, one doing drinks, the other two taking food orders. I queued for 25 minutes waiting for a drink, during that time several people left. The bar man explained that as they only had three tills they could only have 3 people serving??!!! During the time I was waiting, one of the kids behind the bar had to go out an collect glasses, which seemed ridiculous. The food, when it came was the wrong starter, the main course was OK, except they told me mine was burnt so they did another one for me, so I ended up eating after everyone else. I wouldnt come here again, nor would I reccommend it.
