Historic, large courtyarded tourist trap. Nice when the weather lets you sit outside, horridly cramped when it doesn't, so let the sun shine (please!)

The Old Kings Head, Borough

Down to earth, good value and good fun pub. Now my 'most' regular pub in the area after the downward spiral of the Bunch over the last few weeks, there are always a few good 'oddballs' to entertain you at the bar, what more could you want on a Friday night?

Would that be the very same 'Dicky Ainge' who left working here a few weeks ago and is friends with the new manager? Well it certainly says something when you are asking your friends to 'big up' the pub on your behalf.

As a (not very) regular (enough to see the changes in attitude and morale of the guys and girls who serve you), I must say that since your's and the previous managers departure the atmosphere has been somewhat slighty (read largely) more downcast and generally a 'don't want to be here attitude' is felt by all customers, by all employees.

Like I said, it says something when you get your mates to write reviews for you. Pop round the corner to the Kings Head (??) where its cheaper, and more fun.......
