The Exeter Arms, Derby

Love this pub a real escape from the city but felt service was lacking behind some of the competition. Has it changed hands? Ales are good though.

The Brewery Tap, Derby

£3.60 for Landlord in Derby! The beers from the brewery here are good. I like the atmosphere but prefer the pub next door. Service is better here though.

Ye Olde Dolphin Inn, Derby

Landlord £3.50 but not the most expensive I have had today. £3.60 in The Brewery Tap and only £3.20 in The Brunswick. I am a Landlord fan but the best pint of was the cheapest I had today. Very old pub here oldest in Derby I think. Good food. But not worth the trip unless its for the history.

Mr Grundys Tavern, Derby

Lovely pub. Lots of bric a brac in here well worth a visit but the beer is not to my taste. Try a pedigree. Beer garden probably the best in Derby

The Old Silk Mill, Derby

Very uninspiring place. I agree the food is very expensive and the beer not the cheapest too. Ale quality is ok but somehow seems a bit odd to me. see for yourself.

The Falstaff, Derby

Well don't know what people rave about in this place the pub is very hard to find and a little dissappointing when you get there. Ales are on the whole good but not my first choice.

The Alexandra Hotel, Derby

Went here after The Brunswick. Seems like a nice pub though prefer The Brunswick. Less choice of Ale here than next door too. The ales are in good condition though.

The Brunswick Inn, Derby

I cannot agree with the previous remark, The Brunswick is a friendly place and serves great ales and food. A must if you come to Derby by train
