The Schooner Hotel and Restaurant, Alnmouth

The place has improved in my opinion since these reviews were written. Although still in need of a bit of TLC but when I visited the staff were friendly and helpful. The ale choice was limited but what was there was well kept and nice. The food also came in large portions and they would also serve Indian food in the bar. Hopefully the owners will continue to make improvents to really bring the place forward as time goes by

The Red Lion, Alnmouth

Best beer pub in the village. Excellent ales from a constantly changing selection of local breweries

Stayed here recently. Nice room, good beer and excellent homemade food

Horse and Jockey, Dunstable

A passable table table resturant that serves quite a nice pint of London Pride but not worth travelling to unless you are staying in the travel lodge next door

The Ship Inn, Rainhill

This pub continues to improve. Now 4 good quality cask ales on all the time from local breweries. Only let down by being slightly expensive

The Coach and Horses, Rainhill

After a dodgy few years the Coach is on the way up. Real ale is back after many years and the new landlords are keen to make this pub as good as it was years ago.

The Commercial Hotel, Rainhill

I dont recognise The Commercial in these reviews. I have used the pub for 20 years and it has always been a friendly community local with a good atmosphrere and nice beer. I think the other reviewers must be mistaking the place for somewhere else
