Really good country pub, with loads of child friendly outside space, and a new friendly team to bring it back to what it was.
Excellent range of beers and also great menu, will definitely go back again

Has had a recent refurb, and now serves food in the evenings, and weekends, also now open Sat until 7 at the moment.
Still the same Royal Oak good range of youngs and guest beers, still the best pub in the area.

Re opened as slug and lettuce some time ago went in yesterday what is going on before we even sat down some faux maitre "d " wanted to know if we wanted a table for two or where we just there for drinks is this is still a pub/bar or direct competition for the ivy.

The Walkabout, Embankment
Just been here absolutely shambolic dump two staff on, with less than the IQ of an Aussie flip flop between them.
20 minute wait for two overpriced pints served in nasty plastic glasses, first and very definitely last visit. Now in a proper pub The George on the Strand.
