Found this place by chance, driving by needed food had the fish ragout absolutely stunning. have been back 3 times now with friends have to say a great pub with Mallard Ales and friendly staff to look after you.

Nice enough pub, been coming here on & off for the last 15 years used to have a much better selection of beer last year than now ? Place could do with a bit of a spruce up but ok for a quick visit. What happened to the Mallard beer they used to sell ?

Mallard brewery on occasionally here worth the trip just for that.

popped in for a pint, found they had Mallard Brewery on, a rare treat around this area didnt try the food but will be back for more Mallard and the food next time

Sorry to hear Alison & Steve are leaving in the new year, pop into this pub eveytime i'm in the area best pub around for miles.
Hope the new landlord will keep Mallard on ?
Will look forward to see how it fairs.

fantastic just found this place beer galore ! beers seem to change daily,almost like heaven and landlady not bad either! . try this place efor iy getd known too well

great pub just revamped, friendly landlord knows his beer and keeps it well only had a snack but seems to be popular will be back to eat and sample the food and beer as soon as possible .

great little pub fool of a landlord. when you cant see through the beer and you mention this you get called a idiot and its probably a dirty glass ! refused to exchange the beer. now perhaps its me but this chap could probably improve his customer relations skills.

cant post a review signs outside say open at midday it was'nt went back an hour later still not open ! so i took my money elsewhere.

The Old Coach House, Southwell
have been drinking in this pub for over twenty years on and off, seems now to be getting back to somewhere near its best !. noticed all the awards it's won but i am sure they were won when it was still an independent should not by the present owners. pub people's web site should be updated as they don't sell bass or a mild anymore.

what a sleeping giant, pub with massive potential landlord with none ! not made to feel welcome and the beer at best was average.

Back after several years still same landlord no food any more but a great choice of beers tried the Mallard Specduckular and it was !
