The Bugle Inn, Twyford

Food has now settled down a bit and does not have the enthusiasm it had at the beginning, but that's the way of these things I guess...perhaps the chef/owner has eased back a bit and is not so present in the kitchen? Beers and staff are still v good though.

The Black Boy, Winchester

Good pub - excellent in summer as "secret(ish)" garden and lovely rambling interior. Can't say I have ever eaten here so cannot comment. Beers excellently kept.

The Phoenix Inn, Twyford

Green King so Ok if you like their beers. Pub v much in the old school tradition (ie large portions of average food, no children under 10, sl dowdy decor). There are local alternatives now that are at least worth comparing.

The Bugle Inn, Twyford

Good atmosphere, good beer (Hampshire - Bowman's ales and Cheriton Potts brewery and Guests), excellent food - though service can be variable from the young and enthusiastic team (do book). A wonderful updating of this saved village pub. Be there!
