The Ackhorne, York

Went in last week and seems to be back on it's feet ! Mainly Moorhouses beers plus a couple of Christmas specials. Nice pint of Black Cat !

The Ackhorne, York

Went in last week. Still quiet, but deserves better custom. New owner has put on 2 more handpumps and now concentrates on Yorkshire local / micro brews. Pint of Copper D Black Gold was "spot on". We will be returning. Apparently Deuchars IPA and Roosters Yankee are standard issue supported by another 4 ! Well worth a visit

The Golden Lion, York

Went in one weekday evening last week. Looking forward to a good pint and good selection. Came out dissapointed. Beer poor quality and poor temperature. Tried 2 different and both as bad. Seem to have a tang aftertaste.
Better beer at other pubs within a short walk.
Looks like a food pub.

The Lock Stock and Barrel, Newbury

A Fullers house, Tucked away in a fantastic location overlooking the canal. Most Fullers ales on hand pump, all kept very well. Traditional and comfy interior.

An all round great pub!

The Travellers Rest, Bebington

A friendly welcome! and 7 real ales on handpump, one usually from a local small brewery, all well kept. - Great. More of a food pub at lunchtimes and then turns into a drinking pub at 7pm - what more do you want.

The Yorkshire Terrier Inn, York

Of all the York Brewery Pubs, I consider this one to be the best. Always a great selection of York ales backed up with a good selection of guests. The Guzzler is always spot-on and always a "must. Nice to see a blend of decor balanced between what a real pub used to look like and a more modern design.

The Rook and Gaskill, York

One of the Real Ale Gems in York. Great selection of ales, well kept. Nice to see a range which usually includes a nice dark mild. You need to keep popping back to see what is coming up next !

The Barrels Alehouse, Berwick upon Tweed

Great Place. Good range of real ales well kept. Even a cornish one on when we visited.
Good collection of strange artifacts !
