Went with 3 guests like earlier poster Cranfield on Mon 20th. The food was awful: A tasteless tuna salad with no dressing whatsoever! A so called Fillet Steak dish that contained no fillet steak whatever but instead inedible rump steak cut into tiny slices. When we complained they then made a deduction from the bill but tried to charge us �8 service.
The place is a nightmare. Avoid at all costs.

This pub is great for cheap drinks but is in desperate need of renovation. The staff seem pretty good actually but the food is worse than most WS's as the food is done upstairs and sent down in a lift. As a result many meals are sent back cold! 99p pints of Ale and great range of cheap Polish bottled beers. Great for those of us who don't want to pay poncey prices for a session. However... the smelly Catweazle man who ploughs his life savings thro the fruit machine is not a great advert for the place..

Visited the new "West Putney Tavern" a few days ago. Not much has changed from it being a Jim Thompsons. Attracts a small number of locals but I can't honestly see it surviving for long. Adams �3 a pint, loads of perpetually unoccupied tables and very pretentious and expensive food. Whatever make over stylist recommended painting the ceiling dark purple needs to be sacked! Apparently this company have bought a load of JTs. This is a locals only pub with no real parking this place cannot make money!!

Been 3 times for food and drink. Problems on every ocassion. First time they had most items from the main menu unavailable. Next time a chicken fillet was raw. The 3rd and last time the "real burgers" were cremated beyond recognition. To cap it all we were told that they could not be made "medium" only be served "well done" - reheated more like! No refund given after complaint.
Needless to say we won't be going again for food.
