The Herbert Wells, Woking

Solid Spoons. Not exactly loads of guest Ales on, but a decent range overall nontheless.

25 Oct 2008 10:12

The Bed Bar, Woking

Its not really somewhere to chat up girls. Its more of a place you'd take your girlfriend to, somewhere where you won't be swamped by idiots too. Better than Chameleon, RSVP, Yates etc

25 Oct 2008 09:57

The Goldsworth Arms, Woking

Always so quiet. You'd think they could do better with such a big pub but nothing compared to The Sovereigns down the road. Obviously its a bit of a way out from the Train Station.

25 Oct 2008 09:54

Archee's Bar and Restaurant, Woking

Good venue for a drunk session. Everyone here seems to get drunk. Is it me or do people tend to drink faster when its just lager they sell. Its entertaining enough though. Music videos to laugh at.

25 Oct 2008 09:52

The Bedford Park, Streatham

Slightly run down but friendly enough pub/music venue. they have sentanta sports for those interested. the music venue is called the rock attic it looks a bit dopey in some ways. beer can be off a lot no real ale but some lager. 5/10

20 Oct 2008 10:25

All Bar One, Guildford

So how long before Slug and Lettuce closes then Pilgrim? Ah ha. 0/10 HaHa ah ha

2 Sep 2008 17:08

The Keystone, Guildford

Pretentious crowd have ruined one of Guildford finest pubs.

23 Aug 2008 23:14

The George Abbot, Guildford

Slightly annoying staff ruined the day for this drinker.

23 Aug 2008 23:14

The Kings Head, Guildford

Good visit. Good Jukebox. Good beer. 10/10

23 Aug 2008 23:14

Pews, Guildford

Strange atmosphere on visit, will have to give it another try, but an awful lot of yongsters hanging around the doors.

23 Aug 2008 23:13

The Keep, Guildford

Probably best pub in Guildford right now. Have no idea why it has become so empty these days.

23 Aug 2008 23:12

The Kings Head, Guildford

So new Barlady and Barman take over at Kings Head. You are the lady in question DiscoBird, interesting how you should dismiss the other 3 most local pubs and put a good review of Kings Head. I'm with SurreyPubMan on this one.

22 Aug 2008 17:52

The Guildford Tup, Guildford

Popped in during a free Afternoon. Tried the San Miguel on tap, it came to 3.30. Very quiet in the daytime it has to be said. I'd try other nearby pubs for a more entertaining atmosphere. Service was ok though.

13 Aug 2008 15:27

The Old Courthouse, Cove

Good olde pub.

10 Aug 2008 17:09

The Alexandra, Farnborough

Glad its been changed from a couple of years ago or so, I'll report back after visit.

10 Aug 2008 17:08

The Tradesmans Arms, Cove

landladytrades - Great name for trying to cover yourself up, don't you agree!

Obviously this means your the land lady at the Tradesman Arms and not just a customer as you have suggested, otherwise you'd of chosen a different name. I'm sure you do a good job working here LandLady - but if your in charge why not give the place a lick of paint and kick out the rough scoundrels.

Generally I don't like to Gastro pub idea, turning this place into a Gastro is the best chance you've got!

Not impressed on visit 1/10. :)

10 Aug 2008 17:07

Tumbledown Dick, Farnborough

What's the latest?

10 Aug 2008 17:04

Enzo's Bar, Woking

Meals look Gordon Ramsay like, full of ingredients and vegetarian free. Italian styled gastro bar, with a few good beers - including the well priced Bass.

10 Aug 2008 13:51

Jack George Phillips, Godalming

Cheaper than the slug and lettuce.

8 Aug 2008 11:01

The Cyder House Inn, Shackleford

Neat outdoor seating, decent beer. Good for a stop off pub on a walk/bike ride. Personally i'd of thought this place would specialise in Cider or Cyder, given the name.. Can not comment on staff or food, not been in for couple of years.

8 Aug 2008 11:00

Slug and Lettuce, Guildford

Surreypubman, you'll find the 0 review from everyone so far proves this is terrible.

8 Aug 2008 10:58

Players Lounge, Guildford

No Aleman, its still Just Voodoo.

8 Aug 2008 10:56

Casino, Guildford

When you consider that a bottle of Becks cost around 3.50 I think, or more - I was a little drunk one evening... No wonder people get cheap beer from Supermarkets.

8 Aug 2008 10:54

Flares, Guildford

Name says it all really, Cheesey venue trying to be Hip, but not.

8 Aug 2008 10:53

Bar Med, Guildford

Not been good for years, I doubt that has changed - the people who used to go to Yates probably come here now, unless they get cheap booze from Sainsburys.

8 Aug 2008 10:52

The Rat and Parrot, Woking

Generates a strange area. Too big and thus quite empty, quite eerie, background music too loud at times.. Typical drinks range

27 Jul 2008 18:57

The Castle Hotel, Bramber

Has improved. Harveys Sussex bitter and London Pride are ales on.

27 Jul 2008 18:32

The Sovereigns, Woking

Not as good as has been made out. Staff can be slow, also a little over-popular.. could this be because its a food establishment too.. Some of the ales were off, try Enzo's or Wetherspoons for better beer.

26 Jul 2008 08:35

The Crown and Anchor, Old Woking

I'm not a local, but I quite like it here. The friendly local atmosphere must be why its rated so highly as the beer range isnt that exciting. Pride and Youngs. Haven't tried the Thai food.

26 Jul 2008 08:33

The Commercial, Herne Hill

Visited here once a few months ago. Lovely beer range with many fine ales and well situated across from the railway station.. Its always splendid to get one of those old fashioned beer mugs!

30 Jun 2008 14:51

Old Orleans, Guildford

I think it cost me 3.20 for a bottle of Corona. Bottled drinks are always more when they contain less, whats that all about? Anyway its ok, it feels like being in some down-town american bar in here... Maybe that is because its called Old Orleans..!

29 Jun 2008 11:03

The Drummond, Guildford

This place is really cool at the moment. The meals look like they would be nice. On the beer front, there is a massive range to choose from. The Pint of Erdinger I had came in a special glass, it was 3.55 however.

29 Jun 2008 11:02

The Keep, Guildford

Nice people really making a good effort here. The food is home made and very nice. Quiet enough to actually relax too.

29 Jun 2008 11:01

The Claret Jug, Camberley

Heard a rumour its been closed.

28 Jun 2008 18:05

Esteem Bar and Restaurant, Esher

Why is this listed twice?

28 Jun 2008 11:46

The Moore Place, Esher

Why is this listed twice?

28 Jun 2008 11:46

The Plough, Coldharbour

Thought it looked like a post-office with a letterbox outside..! Most of this pub's customers are probably walkers of cyclists, if they don't like it they should not work there... Pathetic.

28 Jun 2008 11:39

The George Abbot, Guildford

Top notch!

27 Jun 2008 23:04

The White House, Guildford

Not my cup of tea, bar staff and management look down on you, disrespectful thing going on methinks.

27 Jun 2008 23:03

The Legion, Guildford

Hate the place! No ale, snobby people on the door. Sucks! 1/10 for being there.

27 Jun 2008 23:02

The Keep, Guildford

Good value, great ambience, relaxed pub with Surrey Hills and the food looks like it could be nice too! Will report if i eat here... 9/10 only downside was the toilets which suck!

27 Jun 2008 23:02

The Country Girl, Selly Oak

Its already June 08 nearly July, keep up!

27 Jun 2008 23:01

The Cricketers, Cobham

Nice scenic spot for a country pub. On the whole good service, good food, they put a lot of effort into the quality of the food with fairly bulky meals. It is pricey being the drawback. The main barlady was on top of things - a couple of the australian barmaids i think they were, did seem to be a bit lost and not quite doing a great job.

25 Jun 2008 10:31

The Castle Hotel, Bramber

Let down by various insects in the food.. hmmmm..

24 Jun 2008 09:40

The Keystone, Guildford

Trainman - looks like this pub wasnt to your taste. Thats ashame but i'd recommend giving it a few more goes. This is a near little pub with some good beer. They do the 6X with is very tasty. It deserves recognition.

21 Jun 2008 20:40

The Chicago Rock Cafe, Basingstoke

Nice visit in the early evening. I recommend this place before it gets crowded at least. A lot of the people seem to think it turns pretty crap late at night when things get out of control. I cannot disagree with them as have not visited for quite a while. I will however say this place has the potential to be good.

For now i'll have to rate it as a 5/10

21 Jun 2008 20:37

The Railway Inn, Winchester

I like this pub. Superbly situtated by the station. Music venue if thats your kind of things. Otherwise can watch the music videos that are going on. The Ringwood beer is not really to my taste. However there are other good beers or ciders which can be chosen. 10/10 for my money.

21 Jun 2008 20:35

The Live and Let Live, Guildford

Pub is back up and running again.

21 Jun 2008 14:30

The Beachy Head, Eastbourne

I don't recommend them selling alcohol at a suicide spot to be honest. so sadly a 0/10

21 Jun 2008 11:16

The Red Lion Inn, Shoreham by Sea

Lovely location and of course great for beer. Hope they don't change the old fashioned appeal of this pub.

21 Jun 2008 11:13

The Castle Hotel, Bramber

Nice pub. Can be a long wait for food. But thats ok. Spacious both inside and outside and a car park as well.

21 Jun 2008 11:12

The White Horse, Steyning

Too upmarket for my liking. Would not visit on a regular basis and food was over-priced for what it was. Nice taps in lavotories i'll admit.

21 Jun 2008 11:11

The Norfolk Arms, Steyning

Rough necks I'm afraid.

21 Jun 2008 11:10

The Chequer Inn, Steyning

Good old locals pub, but fairly welcoming to others. Good for beer.

21 Jun 2008 11:10

O'Neills, Woking

Not a bad venue for a late night drink. Can get a little over-crowded mind you.

20 Jun 2008 19:21

The Seahorse, Shalford

Gets some pretty harsh reviews. I prefer it to how it used to be.
