The Inn on the Furlong, Ringwood

Just a quick warning to any musicians looking to play at the Inn on the Furlong. Following two incidents of drunk audience members falling into the band and damaging equipment I stongly recommend leaving your quality equipment at home and use cheap stuff that has no value to you. From personal experience I can say that the landlord believes such damage should be accepted by the musicians as part of gigging life and any complaints will fall on deaf ears (and will probably get you barred!) A shame, as the ale is good here.
Use your Les Paul and Boogie here at your peril!
The pub rating is for landlord attitude. For a quiet weekday drink I could see the Furlong being a pleasant place to be.

The Antelope, Poole

I used to be assistant manager here way back in 1996. For the past 2-3 years I have been bringing my band 'Conflict of Interest' here regularly, and today The Antelope is the place to be on a Thursday for live music in Poole. The staff are friendly, the bands they put on are good, and the audience lively and pretty numerous. A pleasant pub, and a gig we always look forward to!

The George and Dragon, Salisbury

My band gigs here travelling up from Poole. The landlord and his staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help the band. We are looking forward to Spring and Summer gigs here when we rock some bigger crowds. Drinks seem fine.

O'Neills, Bournemouth

I play in a number of Poole/Bournemouth based rock bands so this is the gigging musicians take on this place. The crowd is great. A good mix of students, locals and people who know you will get good music at this venue. The staff are always helpful, drinks seem fine and cheaper than 'trendy' bars that adorn Old Chrisctchurch Rd. This is one gig we always look forward to playing.
