Decent, small town centre pub opposite the Regent Theatre. They do interval drinks for the theatre and serve a decent pint of two or three beers

Joules brewery tap. No guest ales just Joules ales kept well. Pub like they used to be. Renouned for its food. Friendly staff. Live music twice a week. Lovely patio at back.

Community pub with good ales. One of the longest serving landladies in the City - if not the longest. Respectful and definitely NOT rough

True community pub. Respectful with good beer. One cheap lager and Carling but for me the Bomber [not to be confused with Bombardier!] is excellent
