The Railway Arms, Alton

this is another easy going pub, a lot of the time, decent ale, if you enjoy FFF beers (go for teh stronger ales they have a better taste.)

again worth a visit, for a quiet one anyways.

The White Hart, Holybourne

yeah Martin is right, great fun a few years back. Th enew owner is a great guy and is making a packet off teh food, although teh old drinkers from the place dont seem to have gone back, appart from teh odd nostalgic visit! does a damn good steak nowadays!

The Hop Poles, Alton

biased, you work there! its an average pub, for an average, evening, although i am sat next to someone who is saying that he loves the pickled onion monster munch!

The Market Hotel, Alton

i only go here on a Wednesday night, Karaoke. the beer is drinkable most of teh time and the food is very good for teh prices.

The Wey Bridge, Alton

ok, yeah there is trouble, yeah teh food is ok, the ale is awful, yet to taste a decent pint of ale there. very lively at teh weekends and then ok for a meeting place of an evening in teh week.

the staff are cool, although teh music does leave a lot to be desired. it is one of teh better pubs in town but it does depend on what you are looking for!

The Swan Hotel, Alton

i have no idea how this has managed to get the rating! it is awful, no entertainment (no foreign staff do not count) and as for teh sheer price of teh place, you need a small morgage to get a round in!

The Eight Bells, Alton

ok, gotta admit i am biased here.

a lovely pub, log fire of a winter and a quiet little beer garden for the summer. Without a doubt it serves the best real ale in Alton itself (unless you are a fan of FFF which it doesn't serve).

come and have a pint, the locals are all easy going, and you do not find trouble here!
