Old Surrey Hounds, Caterham

A good pub for a few swift after work drinks. Don't bother with the food, deep fried crap. Nothing healthy on the menu, the menu itself looks like a wimpy menu from days of old.

Good for a few Friday night beers though if you happen to be in the area, not much choice for a better pub in Caterham Valley.

The Garrick Arms, Trafalgar Square

Visited on Saturday night, and had a nice time. Usual lack of decent cider for pubs like this though (boring old Magners type stuff instead). The pub was very clean and very bustling. The barman/waiter *who looked like the manager to me* was excellent.
We decided to try the food, and we had some lovely food from the bar menu, definitely would recommend the food.

De Hems, Soho

Love it here, reasonabley priced beers, good food, shame there is always a struggle for a table! Good atmosphere though!

The Green Man, Fitzrovia

I googled a cider pub in central London and this came up, 10 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Leicester Square into a nice quiet residential street, wouldn't have known the pub was there. Amazed by the amount of cider...and at very reasonable prices for central London, under 4 a pint...unheard of.

Bar staff were helpful.

It was early Saturday evening and we really enjoyed the music being played and the atmos[here was very chilled and relaxed. A proper pub! Well worth visiting if you love cider, like they do and I do!

The Ship, Croydon

Slerpy. have you really had a good look at this pub lately? The toilets are disgusting, the ceiling paper is all peeling off, they use the fire escape as a smoking area which is littered with crap. The place totally smells of sweaty metallers. urckh.

A word of warning, do not drink the Banks bitter, it gets poured back in from the drip trays.

The Black Sheep Bar, Croydon

usaully the place to go as a follow on from a night in The Green Dragon. Garanteed hangover the next day....good variety of music but it does seem to have attracted a chavvy crowd of late.

The Ship, Croydon

This place was once a great place to eat and drink but it's now gone a bit downhill. They pour their ales back into the barrell from the drip trays, don't drink the cheapest ale as you might not like the tummy trots you get the next day!

Shame as it was once a great pub.

Music wise though it's ok but you can hear the live bands half way down the street so bring ears plugs.

The toilets are GRIM!

The Green Dragon, Croydon

This has to be one of the nicest friendlyiest places to visit in Croydon.

It caters for all kinds of people from music fans to football/rugby fans. All people mix well together to appreciate this wonderful place!

The food menu is pretty average but the homemade specials are fantastic!

There's live music on Tues and Weds, Friday night DJ playing all the best indie ska and cool classics! And on Saturday night too. Saturday sports day always showing the main games of Football or Rugby. Live Jazz and great home cooked roasts on Sundays.

Huge amounts of well looked after ales, varying on a monthly rota with the regular well kept Spitfire and London Pride.

Esther has made this pub great, she once did it to the Ship now she crossed the road an did it again!

I also hear there is a garden on it's way which should be there before summer!

The staff are friendly and will make you feel at home and are more than good at making your visit enjoyable.

Definatley worth a visit!

The Oval Tavern, Croydon

I like it here. One of my 2 favorite places in croydon. This and the Green Dragon for it's friendly staff and a mixed crowd.

And you get 35ml spirits for a a really good price.
