Always get a nice meal here. Plenty of choice and at good prices. Can be slow services at busy times but to be fair most places follow this pattern.

The Golden Grove Inn, Llanarthney
Used to be stunning food (2005/2006) but this year we went back to find new owners and an over priced pretentious menu.

Stunning pub inside - high ceilings with wooden beams. Service was slow and not particularly friendly. Food was very nice expect that one of our party ordered the welsh burger and got a bread roll with nothing inside! What kind of chef forgets to but a burger in the bap?

The Garrick Inn, Stratford Upon Avon

We went to the Garrick Inn for a meal before going to see a show in the Courtyard Theatre. The fact the whole place is non-smoking was a plus. The menu had plenty of appetising choices and veggie options. We had a great meal, tasty, good portion and not too pricey. We didn't have to wait long at all for it. I wasn't too impressed with one of the barstaff though, I had to take my wine back as the glass had a lipstick mark on it (no not my own) and the barman just tipped the same wine into another glass!

Old Inn, Penllergaer
Forgot to say don't expect too much if you order the 'Luxury Homemade Fish Pie'. Their idea of luxury seems to be a tin of tuna. It wasn't bad but I just expected more and was disappointed.
