Ensign Ewart, Edinburgh

I was given a trip to edinburgh for a christmas present by my children and tried to see everything in 4 days. we went to the ensign for a meal on the way to the castle, which i found to be disgusting I ordered a omlet and salad., the omlet was folded in half and was to size of a CD when unfolded and the rest of the plate was covered in different coloured letteuce Qrt of a tomato and 2 slices of cucumber.I am afraid I eat only the Tiny omlet and left the rest my daughter had a jacket potato and that was green and hard and the plate was covered in the salad the same as I had. We left our food drunk our drink and warned the people just about to order a meal. (They got up and left) The pub itself had loads of character but the fool let it down.

O'Gradys Bar, Ilford

I agree with redvarnish3 was a brill pub a couple of years ago, tried to get in there on St Patricks Night (no chance) but did go in there ,last new years eve and not a good as the year before, lots of KIDS which spolt it as we were looking over our shoulders waiting for a fight. There are a few stalls at the bar and nobody moves when you try and get away from (NEAR) the bar with your drinks and you always get someones drink spilt on you so dont wear anything that is dry clean only! I think if the manager gets the age of the customers checked out and gets the kids out and the oldd customers might be happy to come back .Dont forget a pub is only popular while it is fasionable to drink in by youR mates but the old regular is the loyal customer that will keep those till bells ringing.

Cauliflower, Ilford

The Cauli a brilliant pub, live bands are a must to see my favorate is East of Java who used to play the first Sat in every month. sad to say not been down there for a while after it closed for a while lots of rumours going that it was to close all together. think a lot of regulars stopped waiting for it to open and the bands started playing at other pubs and the loyal followers went to watch them heard that it is a indian restaruant as well? MUST go back there loved it and have missed it.

O'Neill's, Ilford

Very good pub try and pop in there most weekends, good bands, friendly people, bar service quick open till late. why bother paying expensive entre fees, double prices on drinks and agro from local night clubs when you can stay in this nice pub for half the price with a better atmosphere. Great night out.

The Old Spotted Dog, Forest Gate

I also would like to know what is happening to this pub used to go in there in my youth and loved it in there lovely food, a typical east london pub loads of character. I drive past there every week on the way to work and the lights are always on upstairs and at one point workman were in there, they have put a metal fench round the place under lock and key but not much other than that happening do you know anything?

Millers Well, East Ham

Its a brill pub if you want to catch up and have a chat with firends descent prices, food not bad at all there is a bit of a wait and it need a clean up after a person has finished at the table which will not happen unless you ask for a cloth and do it yourself I have found this on several occasions but overall not a bad pub and you get a good crowd in there and dont feel that there could be a puch up at any time which is unusual for any pub at mo.

The Hammers, East Ham

I used to go into the hammers for years, but recently found that it has gone down the pan, it needas a good clean up and a lick of paint and hopefully the OLD REGULARS will come back to the pub which it needs, there is nothing like a faithfull punter. It used to have live music and theme nights I dont know if this still goes on a good clean up and get back the old hammers and I sm sure you will enjoy a good evening
