Closed for quite a while before reopening late last year. It closed for good in March and is now a clothing shop.

The Old Moot House, Kingston upon Thames
Demolition work has started at the rear of the property. Whether the plan is to pull it all down or just the crappier rear part is unknown. I think it's going to become a hotel with a bar downstairs.

Acorn 20, Kingston Upon Thames
Now closed and boarded. The shops next to it have been boarded for ages so the whole block may be redeveloped.

The Honest Cabbage, Kingston Upon Thames
It closed after converting to a fish restaurant (yes, really). It's now a builders' and student hostel.

This seems to have closed a few months ago and is currently shut. On the few times I passed it late at night, old bill were in attendance...

Another change of management in May last year saw The Swan attempt to return to being a traditional pub. It's now leading with excellent Thai cuisine and steadily building a reputation as a live music venue with bands on most Saturday nights. Given that Shepherd Neame ales aren't to everyone's taste, it's doing well.

What a shithole this place has become. Whilst the beer is ok and the live music its best feature, the standard of the pub is very poor. Venturing into the gents loo is like walking into the proverbial black hole of Kolkata: grimy, squelchy underfoot, stinking and bleak. Not surprisingly it's quiet a fair bit of the time and has often closed when you would think it would be open. I've heard that it is going to be converted into a hotel....

After a brief period of closure, The Swan reopened as a gastropub. Where once there was a dartboard and live bands, now there are high tables, comfy sofas and a retro video games machine. The pub now leads on food but the ale's in good nick and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I will return.
