The Three Moles Inn, Selham

Now that this gem of a country pub is under new ownership it is as good as it ever was before Val left. Certainly a pub for the discerning drinkers (Skinners Betty Stogs still rules alongside one from Bowmans & an ever changing guest) & those who enjoy banter with the locals.

The Harrow, Steep

Had my first daytime visit to this pub recently & enjoyed excellently kept beer & a huge plate of very tasty soup with what appeared to be half a loaf of bread. The locals were very friendly & joined us in their conversation (being so small it is probably hard not to!)

The White Horse, Graffham

The White Horse appears to be going from strength to strength with well kept beer & an honest pub menu, very much a traditional village pub.

The Halfway Bridge Inn, Lodsworth

Sadly after several years of high class service & friendliness this pub is now under new management. It is obvious that those running it are just working for a wage & not interested in their customers preferences - lime in gin & tonic? no bottled Coca-cola only post-mix Pepsi, & worst of all beer well past it's best. Definitely a change for the worse but the prices are higher than ever.

The Stag Inn, Petworth

Nothing can be said that hasn't already been said - it just can't improve.

The Eagle Inn, Abbotts Ann

A nice homely pub with real people & superbly kept real ales.
Well worth deviating off the A303 for.

The Swan Inn, Fittleworth

Had my first visit there last Sunday & won't be returning.
The food was fine as was the beer, but Mr.Grumpy who was unproffessional enough to reduce his staff to tears in the bar gets a great big thumbs down.

Bat & Ball, Wisborough Green

Once again under new management, but it is looking good. Will definately return.

The Labouring Man, Coldwaltham

Called in on Saturday afternoon & found a sensational folk singing session going on - apparently it only happens once a year. Very friendly & (under the circumstances) un-flappable staff.
Well worth a visit.

The Three Moles Inn, Selham

Sadly no longer a drinkers delight, more a clinical wine-bar. Another jewel lost from our English heritage.

The White Horse, Graffham

Guess the previous reviewer was there on an "off-day". It's well worth going if only for the Skinners Betty Stogs. A very friendly locals pub in a spectacular location.

The Foresters Arms, Graffham

Please disregard my previous review it was meant for The White Horse at Graffham.
The Foresters gets better with excellent food & gradually more locals returning.

Great little pub. OK the food is expensive - but worth it! Starting to have a nice pubby feel to it late in the evening.

This pub is just getting better by the week. Strongly recommend Skinners Betty Stogs!

The Cricketers, Duncton

Recently undergone complete makeover, whilst still retaining the village drinkers pub atmosphere. Excellent food & very good real ales from micro-breweries
