The Alexandra, Wimbledon

Great pub. Usually friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Also good for watching Rugby.

The Queen Adelaide, Wandsworth

Great Sunday Afternoon pub. Usually good food (though avoid the sausage platter as this is just poor value). Good Youngs Beers. Only OK for sport.

The Ship Inn, Wandsworth

Had a long boozy lunch there on a weekend recently and found the service to be very good; the food to be excellent, and the beers well kept. Loved the hot fires they have burning away at various locations in the pub and the friendly service. :)

The Normanby, Putney

Nice little pub. friendly. Not particularly remarkable, but does what it does very well.

The Cat's Back, Wandsworth

I like that they use the wrong glasses in this pub. It was better when they had a dentists chair out the front, and when they would stay open until five am (the bouncer would stop people coming in after 12, but then go home at 2, after which you could just go in through the fire exit. Used to be full of interesting characters, now more or less populated by the stock-brokers and management consultants that live in the new flats around there. They did a fantastic street party on Point Pleasant. It's a hard pub to categorize, but I'm glad it's still there despite the best efforts of some of the local residents.

Prince Of Wales, Putney

I like this pub. friendly bar staff, good food (not cheap to be fair, but tasty - and home made). Friendly. Like it. Used to be a bit of a dive before the refurb (but funny because they used to stick a big inflatable snowman behind the bar at Christmas). Worth a visit.

The Frog and Forget-Me-Not, Clapham

Characterless pub. before the refurb there were at least interesting features (pac-man tables, bar billiards etc). Now it is just like any other gastro-pub with the exception that it is completely devoid of character or charm. No idea what the food was like, but bitterly disappointed that so much money has been spent to produce such a soul-less venue. 0.
