The Lamplighter, St Helier

I was doing some research and clicked on the map function and it took me to Canada! This is the real location https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/The+Lamplighter/@49.1834428,-2.1078182,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x480c4d588dded863:0xd53f97c772d4ef73

The Union, Gloucester

Now renamed as Molly Mallones. I must try it one day, when the Pelican has run out of beer...

Robert Raikes House, Gloucester

This pub is the Robert Raikes - it hasn't been called the Golden Cross since the 1980s! And before that it was the Dirty Duck.

The Bell Inn, Benington

Amazing! Wonderful home cooked Caribbean food in an ancient pub in a pretty village. The curry goat was exceptional. Raffie and Rasheida are making a real success of running this pub.

The Pelican Inn, Gloucester

Tied to Wye Valley Brewery, so Butty Bach and HPA always available, usually has Dorothy Goodbody's Stout on tap as well. No food, so this is a real pub. Not easy to find if you don't know Gloucester, but it's yards from the Cathderal and Kingsholm.

The High Orchard, Gloucester

Marstons chain pub. It's reasonably priced for food and beer; 3 or 4 real ales. Children welcome. It is aimed at diners with full waitress service; you can go to the bar and get your own drinks but you get some strange looks.

Tamar Hotel, Crownhill

A proper pub, pool table and 3 TVs each showing a different sports channel. A couple of ordinary cask ales on (Courage & Green King IPA) at a reasonable price for 500ml. It was a shame they are supposed to serve PINTS.

The Jack Rabbit, Plymouth

An ordinary travel lodge pub. Nothing wrong with it.

Norwood, Cheltenham

Went for a meal with some friends last Saturday. Although it was early (6 isn) the place was busy and I was looking forward to a pleasant evening. The company was great, the beer was OK and the steaks were cooked exactly as we'd asked. Unfortunately, we didn't specify that we want them to be served warm and they came out stone cold! Our complaint was met with the offer of an extra portion of chips! I shan't be returning.

King William IV, Kirksanton

Lots of rump steaks, not a lot of anything else. Went there twice last week, on Friday the service was fair and the food OK, but on Saturday the service was unacceptable (has the barman ever been shown hoe to hold a glass?) This pub is living on it's past reputation. Other pubs are available (try the Bear on the Square at Millom or The Miners at Silecroft).

India House, Gloucester

Now demolished and replaced by flats.

Welsh Harp, Gloucester

This is now a Tesco express. Like we need more telcos.

The Red Lion, Huntley

Lee & Debbie are leaving! :-( I hope Enterprise can find new tenants quickly.

Angel Inn, Ruardean

People took Bill748's advice. The Angel is no more.

The Severn Bore Inn, Minsterworth

Wow! New owners have made this pub work. A limited (freshly cooked?) menu - but reasonably priced. Good choice of different beers, again reasonably priced. And right on the riverbank. Just as we were leaving , the landlord asked if we were going to wait for the bore. I've seen big bores before and this was only a 1* bore but it was still amazing to see the big wave and water flowing uphill. Best of all - no big crowds on the bank and no surfers on the river.

Robert Raikes House, Gloucester

Sam Smiths house, so no real ales, but proper Yorkshire prices for drinkable keg beers. I get in there at least once a month and the decor has to be the most impressive of any pub in Gloucester. Shame about the bogs being on the second floor - you need to think about going ages before you want to go and when you get to my age you can spend half the evening going up and down stairs!
Oh, and no coffee after 8-30. Doesn't bother me, but my driver isn't impressed!

The Red Lion, Huntley

Usually has one Sharp's beer on - often Doom Bar, but they try all the others too. Prices are similar to other pubs in the area - ie high but the food is good.
Have to ask for the tv in the public bar (yes - two bars!) to be turned on - except when there's a Grand Prix on!

Red Hart, Blaisdon

Food is good but overpriced, reasonable choice of beer but overpriced. Totally agree with crateman about the landlord; Guy is so offensive that I rarely use the pub (and it's within walking distance). I saw a table tell the waiter that they didn't want puddings but would have coffee. When the coffees were bought out Guy had a go at the waiter - in the middle of the bar area - because he hadn't tried to sell puddings to that table.
TO BE AVOIDED
