The Chainlocker and Shipwrights, Falmouth

Excellent range of well kept beers, but the food was pretty basic and seemed to have been waiting around a while as it wasn't hot. Service was poor - they didn't bother to mention that you had to go and find your own cutlery. Fine venue for a drink or two ... or three, but eat elsewhere!

The Pandora Inn, Restronguet

Fantastic setting and as popular as ever. However, not at all to my liking. Poor, slow, offhand service; very overpriced and pretentious food. Decided to have a basic fish & chips - the greasiest I've ever had. A pub I'll avoid for a good while.

The Lemon Arms, Mylor Bridge

Always a warm welcome, well kept beer and good basic food at reasonable prices. It may not have the views, but otherwise it is 100% better than the pretentious rubbish at the Pandora a couple of miles down the road!

The Beehive, Bristol

Sadly on the slide again. No bitter in the house; "New Menu" has been "coming soon" for at least six weeks, and is sorely needed. The very professional and helpful staff have gone and the Landlord's extremely rude father is driving regulars away. A real pity after such a promising renaissance!
