The Green Owl, Camber

Have eaten several times with the kids and several times without. The food is always excellent, more like a restaurant menu than a pub. Paul is always friendly and also very attentive making sure you want for nothing. He also talks to the children which is nice. Very nice beers too. Have to giggle though at the comments on here about the friendliness of the staff, have they visited during S****l's shift lol ;-p

The Queens Head, Icklesham

Visited on a Monday lunchtime, very wet outside and very busy inside. Very nice looking pub with a nice garden overlooking nice views.
Very nice beer, and a very nice meal (lamb and apricot pie) possibly left over lamb from the day before but isn't that what all "specials" are?
On walking up to the bar as a new customer I was not greeted with a warm welcoming smile and a hello, but staff were not grumpy either, probably just under pressure as was very busy. Will certainly return for hopefully some more good food and good beer.

The Flower Pot, Aston

Visited in 2007, walked along river from Hurley with family and thought we would have a meal. Man behind bar was not welcoming. Would only answer questions with one or two word replies. Food was of the frozen findus/birds eye supermarket variety. the kids pizza was a chicago town microwave pizza, the burger was large but tasted of cereal, the lasagne was definitley a frozen ready meal, and my Schezuan chicken was some sort of birds eye offering. Not a nice experience, will not return. Will agree that is in a nice location.
