The Jolly Gardeners, Old Windsor
Last proper pub in the area that hasn't been turned into a faceless chain restaurant or microwave cafeteria! Tasty freshly cooked food and superb real ales. Best pint of Bombardier I've had in ages.
Shame about small car park, but when pub was built I don't think they had the present day volume of traffic in mind.

Happened to be passing with my wife and decided to try this pub for lunch, but a quick browse at the over-ambitiously priced menu decided on one of the cheaper meals, cod and chips. After a wait of over half an hour, the food arrived but the cod turned out to be two pieces of batter each about the size of a matchbox, supposedly containing some cod. Couldn't confirm this, though, as I am not a forensic scientist. Could not believe how anybody could present this as a meal! Give them their due, they gave us our money back without question- they must be getting used to this. Beer fine, though.

The Prince Arthur, Windsor
Witnessed a rather unpleasant exchange between the oaf of a landlord and and some quiet middle aged customers. When they dared to politely question the price (�6.00!) of some disgusting looking beefburgers, the rude and unpleasant landlord told them they wouldn't be served anymore and that they should leave!
After seeing this landlord's attitude to customer service I will never use this pub again.
