The Blacksmiths Arms, Newport

Having driven past this pub hundreds of times over the years, we went there for a Sunday lunch. It was by far the best Sunday roast I have ever had, an opinion repeated by all four of us. The staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was fresh, local produce and excellent value for money. We will definately be gong there again, hopefully very soon

The Union Inn, Cowes

Went there last night for a pub quiz. Great atmoshere, lots of fun and free snacks. recommended for a sunday night rather than staying in, in front of the TV

The Plough, Smallford

I used to drink in this pub on all too regular basis, I can still remember walking across the fields behind the pub, along the disused railway line home after a few too many! This has always been a good lub with a great clientele of locals and passers by. The atmosphere has always been good. Takemy advice, follow your nose off the A1(M), take the A412 and follow the signs off the road to the pub, you will not be dissapointed.

Cormorant, Portchester

It has changed and has become a bit 'lazy'. The air conditioning is still rubbish and there is far too much smoke for my liking. Having to pay for each course as you order it in the restuarant is a bit off putting. As a pub it is adequate, but I wouldnt go out of my way to visit for a meal, there are much nicer places in the area.

The Hinton Arms, Cheriton

Visited this pub with my wife and 2 children and it was all we expected. Great atmosphere, excellent menu with a great variety to suit all tastes, the pork and apple curry was a splendid choice!! Will definately recommend to our friends and will most certainly be visiting again.
