Large chain pub in the middle of a roundabout!
Nice enough inside.
Big enough to lose yourself. Loudmouth brash workmen and local chavs at one end of the bar, you and the old folk eating good standard food at the other.

Strange place, bar to the right, what seems like work ceing carried out to the left? Maybe someone can tell us whats going on?
Standard beer and little atmosphere in the 1960's art deco shaped style bar. Although its friendly enough and packed when the football is on. (Setanta no Sky).

Quaint village pub, minutes from the dirty high street. Good quality Embers Inn menu, decent beer.
Elderly punters, are funny more than grumpy if you listen in (you can't really help it, the place is small).
Can't wait until the summer to see the bowling green in use.

Another large chain, this time attracting a younger crowd. This place has little personality but it cheap as chips so a good place to start/finish a crawl.

Tidy, traditional back street local. The little bars are quaint but if you get nervous in cramped space then you may find it a little intimidating. That said, the locals are friendly enough.

Big chain pub, typical standard Embers Inn menu, although good quality. Large enough to sit back and have a drink without anyone bothering you. Decent bar staff and plenty of choice with drinks.

The problem with doing up a pub is that you can go overboard. Its happened here, everythings so clean that your scared to put your drink down in fear of making a mess.

Not bad but not great. Cosy pub just off the main drag, dis-interested bar staff let the place down. Quite a few real ales on for drinkers of that ilk.

Just moved to Harborne and I dont really know what the problem is with this pub.
Gets very busy, good food menu and cheap prices.
Yeah you get a few weirdos in there, but you get them everywhere.
Just think wetherspoons meets back street local.

No longer an O'Neills, take the picture down.
The pub is now called 'The Junction'
Serving all unusual strong lager/cider.
Can't decide wether it comes across as pretentious or not.

Recently renovated, now more wine bar than pub, way too light even in the darkest of days. What ever happened to the old Festing??

Was rubbish with local dropouts and low lifes, then got really good but is now just tottering a long minding its own business. Still in the top few pubs in Albert Rd though.

Small bar, not often busy although on Pompey matchdays, it's heaving from wall to wall, with err... scary blokes.

The Old House At Home, Harborne
Mmmm.... so much potential but whoever is running this place has got it all wrong.
Having a little lad, I've used many of these style venues quite a bit. Some are better than others, theres only so much you can do, but I can quite honestly say that this is the worst I've ever visited.
It's huge, which is probably a problem in itself, there are areas in serious need of redecoration.
The whole place simply stinks of chip fat. It's ridiculously expensive for standard beer. The only saving grace is thats its easy to get too and has ample parking.
