The Ark has closed, has been completely refurbed and reopened as
"The Deers Leap" it is more restaurant than pub, but still an excellent place to spend the evening, will happily serve you a pint or a meal or both well worth a visit.

Do yourself a favour, keep walking North and you will encounter
The Falgate Inn, a proper pub selling proper beer and food.
