This is a by far the best pub in W.G.C. Yes, it is full of chavs, but the service is usually pretty good & the food & drinks are both reasonably priced.

Eireboy, it is illegal to serve somebody who is obviously intoxicated. Most pubs ignore this up tp a point, otherwise they wouldn't have any customers, so I would guess you must have been pretty out of it to get refused service. As for being kicked out, you do not have to be given any reason at all. The manager can bar you because he doesn't like the colour of your t-shirt! I am not saying you should have been kicked out, just that they did have the right to do this.

Horrible place. I went there one lunchtime with my sister & got drooled over by a bunch of unemployed, drunken chavs. The pub is filthy & smelly & one of the doors on the toilet was hanging off!

Stanborough, Welwyn Garden City

Avoid this pub at all costs! I went there onmy birthday & was horrified. I was served by a girl who was so rude I almost walked out. The drinks are expensive & the whole place stunk of stale fried food. I would never go back.

Waterend Barn, St Albans

I have eaten at this pub several times and never had to wait more than about 20 minutes, even on a busy lunchtime. While the staff could be a bit friendlier, in general I think it is a lovely pub with well priced food and drinks.
