The Anchor, Wisley

Used to go here quite a bit when I lived in the UK. That was a long time ago and, judging by my last visit to West Byfleet a few years ago the 5.1 rating shown here is probably about right.

Given the location though it has the potential to rate a lot higher. Shame it just doesn't.

The Plough, West Sutton

Does anyone remember Johnny Mitchell that used to drink in this pub? What a legend. RIP.

The Catherine of Aragon, West Byfleet

Otherwise known as The Chavmont. Say no more.

The Sherlock Holmes, Melbourne

Just look at the photo. "Gaming" room. Yuck.

The Nevermind Bar, Hawthorn

Well worth a visit if in the area on a fine sunny day. Is open from 5pm onwards IIRC.

The Elephant and Wheelbarrow, St Kilda

I've never been on "neighbours night" and have no desire to. However I do like visiting this place whenever I'm in St. Kilda, it has a smallseating area out front, a mid-size bar area and a large function room out the back. It's handy for a swift ale or two before or after visiting the junction oval across the road too.

Bridie O'Reillys, South Yarra

is Ok to pop in to for a swift ale if you're passing by but there are better pubs in the area.

The Jovial Sailor, Ripley

Service at the bar is slow at lunch times. Ales are reasonably well kept and the food.... I was served what much have been the largest jacket potato ever grown!!

The Fox and Flowerpot, Goldsworth Park

Good point - does not seem to attract the chavs that are drawn towards the centre of Woking for their two pints of stella and punch up.

Bad point - Only ale on tap is London Pride and it tastes awful.

Othe features not listed here on the pub info are:

- Beer garden
- Fruit Machines
- Jukebox
- Pool Table
- Big Screen (2x Plasma 1x Projector)

The Kings Arms, Hampton Court

Was this the pub that used to be the Ferryboat? If so I used to DJ at Henry's Palace over ther road (no longer there) and went in the FB for a few jars sometimes - much nicer than streets of london.

The Plough, Cobham

Nice summer pub with relaxing beer garden and good choice of ales.

The Blue Anchor, Byfleet

Friendly pub, two bars + function room. Public bar is louder with juke box, pool tables, big screen sports, saloon bar with seating arranged either for conversation or to relax and read the paper. Good beer garden for warm summer evenings and only pub in Byfleet that does accommodation too.

The Queens Head, Byfleet

Beer is OK, food not bad, 1 pool table, big TV screen, 2 fruitys. On weekends though it seems to turn into a kindergarten type place with kids running around everywhere.

The Plough, Byfleet

Great selection of ales, well kept too. Food is below par though.

The Kings Head, Byfleet

Friendly enough place, pool table, pinball machine, dart board, 2 fruitys, juke box, quiz machine and big screen sports. Furniture quite tatty but selection of beer OK

The George, Addlestone

Been there once or twice - one night there was an Elvis impersonator there who was quite good. Anyone over 6' should watch avoid the back bar after a few pints as the ceiling is quite low!

The Holly Tree, Addlestone

Visited this place two or three times whilst in the area, seems to be a bit of a biker's favourite.
