The Farquharson Arms, Pimperne

Now being run by Nev & Lesley. Beer kept well and food is delicious and plentiful.

The Railway, Salisbury

Agree with wolvesfan and Hodge1, been past this place 3 or 4 times each at a different time and day of the week and everytime it's closed.

The Woodcutter, Galashiels

I meant when I visit from the South - you don't need any other pub but this one !!!

The Woodcutter, Galashiels

I come to this place whenever I visit from the pub. Safe to say looks are deceiving, had many a pint and fantastic laugh in this cracking little pub. Friendliest locals you'd like to meet, good quality pool table and the lager is cold. Try The Mad Frog - if you aren't driving :)

The Criterion, Windsor

Only popped in for a very quick pint at lunchtime on Wednesday but the beer was in excellent condition, the service very quick and friendly and the general atmosphere very welcoming. I shall return when I have more time.

The Crown Inn, Farnham Royal

under the management of a fine publican who knows how to keep his beer, play guitar, drink with the best of 'em and lay on super food.

Good beer, friendly atmosphere, great food ! Rate this pub over The Anvil any day of the week.

The Kings Arms, Blandford Forum

Quite possibly the worst pub I've ever had the misfortune to set foot in. No real ale available, surly bar staff, scrutinisation from the locals as soon as you step foot through the door. Pool table area had no lighting which made playing impossible. To cap it all off a fight outside on Saturday night prevented friends from getting to their room until 4am.

Jack O'Newbury, Binfield

I highly recommend the Good Old Boy. Perfect pint, good flavour and at 4% not overbearing.

I would suggest booking for Sunday lunches now that the good weather finally appears to be with us. My recent visit on Easter Sunday found a pub with not a single table free for meals or just sitting down.

Quiz nights by John on a monthly basis and altho quiet in recent months are now attracting more and more people.

Cannot find a single bad thing to say about this delectable little pub.

Cafe Gollem, Amsterdam

For help in finding this delectable little drinking establishment I've noted how to get there from Dam Square.

Face the palace in Dam Square and walk down to the left of the palace. You will be faced with an Albert Heijn supermarket, walk along the street to the left of the Albert Heijn and you will pass O'Reillys Irish Bar (I recommend a pit stop), walk past O'Reillys (with bar on left hand side) turn left at end of street and walk for 2-3 minutes, you will see a Croissant shop on the right hand side of the road (Spuistraat), walk down the alleyway next to this bakery and Gollem is on the right hand side.

The Castle, Surbiton

Great beer, great people, superb pool table. spent a good few hours in this pub while visiting a friend. Even considering moving to Surbiton to be closer to this boozer. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a good session and a good laugh.

They will be doing food starting in a couple of weeks. Shellfish already available, bought fresh from Billingsgate.

A big shout to the staff who welcomed me with open arms on my first visit on Friday 30th June, 2006.
Cheers guys, Dave
