The Hogshead, Beckenham

Much nicer now it has been turned into a Slug and Lettuce

Old Manor, Bracknell

Easily the best weatherspoons I've visited

The Edmund Halley, Lee

I must have visisted on a good day, as I got served quickly, by a British barman, so had no complains about the staff. 8 real ales on offer, and the pint I had was kept very well, and tasted lovely. I would visit again if I ws in the area.

Yates's, Gatwick Airport

For a Yates it's actually pretty good (mainly due to the facts the sort of people in drink in Yates are not the sort of people who go on long distance holidays).

Needs proper ale though.

The Golden Lion, Prittlewell

Pretty crummy pub, not hard to see why they stick the away fans here after football matches.

The Castle, Battersea

Friendly staff, excellent beer, would go there again. One of the nicest Young's pubs I have been to.

Pratts and Payne, Streatham

Cheap, but a total dump. Staff smoke in the non-smoking area!

The Toby Carvery, Beckenham

Normal sort of Toby Carvery, lots of comfy seating inside and outside, with real ale served and plenty of affordable food.

The Moderation, Reading

One of the worst pubs I've ever been in. Poor booze, unfriendly unhelpful staff, and you are made to feel like a criminal if you aren't a regular. There was an amusing dog in the pub when I was there, but that was about it.

TP's, Bromley

Like most Walkabouts, fine for daytime drinking, but avoid in the evenings. It is a considerable improvement on the bell opposite the road though.

Walkabout, Shepherds Bush

Wasn't too busy when I went there, so it was a nice relaxing place to have a couple of bottle of tooheys. I imagine on weekends and evenings it could get pretty gross.

The Green, Shepherds Bush

Went there while on the way to Loftus Road. Nice pub, with a decent ale selection (the archer's PieEater I drank was particularly nice) Plenty of TV screens to watch the football on. Would visit again without hesistation.

The Fox on the Hill, Denmark Hill

I like it, a good example of a Weatherspoons pub - always interesting guest ales on at low prices.

The Royal Standard, Croydon

The best pub in central Croydon, and one of the nicest Fullers pubs I've been to.

The Claret Free House, Addiscombe

Excellent pub, in an excellent position just a minute from the tram stop. A rare example of an old man's pub where young people aren't made to feel like criminals when they go in.

The Back of Beyond, Reading

Easily the best Wetherspoons of the four in the Reading area. Great location with good ale selection. Even better now it's no smoking, as all the chain smoking lager louts go to the Monk's Retreat on Friar Street, meaning much more mature drinkers there.

The Inn on the Park, Woodley

Nice pub next to the main park in Woodley, by the leisure centre. It whas featured in several CAMRA good beer guides, and always has a nice selection of ale
