Would never return again and eat in the garden on a hot, busy Saturday lunchtime. "Service", if it can be called that, was shambolic. Our bottle of wine just plonked on the table. Not opened for us, not poured, let alone asked if it was ok. (Luckily it was screwtop ...). Our bill (for 2) included service charge although it states on menu this is only added to parties of 6 (or was it 10?) or more - and it still left space for gratuities to be added. Attempted to query this inside with the manager and gave up after waiting second in line to be served and then ignored when newcomers walked into the bar. This is such shame as it's in a lovely position and an attractive building, and the food's pretty good.

The young landlord and landlady gave very friendly welcome. Good food. Very pretty pub, lots of character with lovely courtyard garden.

The Pitcher and Piano, Richmond
Had lunch there on a hot Saturday lunchtime. Drawn by the great location overlooking Thames but regretted it as soon as the food arrived. Overpriced, poorly presented and, in the case of the steak baguette, a complete rip off. As more people arrived more tables were produced in the front area until there wasn't a spare inch of space. And they insist of taking a credit card which isn't returned until the bill is presented for payment. Will not return!

Anonymous - your poorly written sacastic reply to my posting missed the point. Stop being so defensive and accept that the service leaves a lot to be desired.
